Once you are finished writing. I would like you to read the information entitled Common Reactions of Students
to stressful Events. Compare your feelings to the feelings written inside the box. Are there commonalities?
Were there feelings that you also felt but that you were not able to mention in your letter?
As I finished writing my letter and upon reading the information entitled Common Reactions of Students to
Stressful Events, I can say that there are commonalities in the feelings written inside the box and the feelings I felt
in the letter. During this pandemic, I’m experiencing changes in relationship with other people especially with my
friends. Our conversation are minimal than before. But for me it is okay because in this time of pandemic, it
reveals who’s true and fake. There are feelings inside the box that I wasn’t able to mention in my letter because I
just want it to more private. For example, I’m experiencing a strong responsibility with my family because being
the eldest in the family, the pressure is on me especially in terms of taking care of my siblings and being a role
model to them. Also I feel anxious brought about by uncertainty of future because I don’t know If I will be
successful or not. I feel that the world stop for a moment because of the Corona virus and I feel stuck in four
corner of our house. But despite of all these, it’s okay to experience and feel stress and anxiety because it
encourage me toward change and growth.

APPLICATION

How can you apply your newfound knowledge to your daily life? After going through the activity, I learned that the feelings that I CAUGHT
could be

embarrassing sometimes and challenging most of the time. Feelings are magical, it can change anytime. There are feelings that we don’t
want to feel but it is it’s in nature to react according to circumstances.

After a while, I CHECKED the feelings and realized that I could

take it as an opportunity to make a change within myself and see it as a chance to grow by knowing myself more. Stress is the reaction
to challenges so it’s okay to experience it because right after that, there will be a changes in yourself and you’ll be more flexible in dealing with
negative feelings.

And so I CHANGED my feelings into the following:

 Grateful
 Peace
 Blessed
 Loved
 Glad
I will try my best to change my feelings into being grateful, glad, blessed, loved and peace in order to have a peace of mind and a happy and
genuine heart.

Pledge of Commitment
I, Corazon V. Belino, pledge to manage my life with courage and
determination despite of many challenges I’m facing right now. I will put
on my mind that life is beautiful, and every moment is a celebration of
being alive and that I should always be ready to face adversity and
challenges. I will not hold myself back anymore and now is the perfect
time to let go of any doubt and begin to move forward through any
struggles that I might be facing.  I’m strong enough to conquer any
challenge and I will not give up.

How did you find this activity?


I find this activity helpful in determining what I really want to attain for my personal growth and
development. I’m still working on the things that really matter this time. This activity gave me a sense of
direction through identifying my personal goals.
How would this help you to attain your personal goal?
The personal growth development worksheet and my realization help me to attain my personal goal
by working on the things that I must stop, minimize, continue, improve and start. Through this, I will
accomplish my personal goal. For me, goals are not only created, they should be attained.
What could be the possible barriers in the achieving your personal goals?
Goals can sometimes impossible to make it real because of possible barriers that may encounter.
Sometimes, I tend to compare myself to others and for me it is a barrier in attaining my personal goals
because of my lack of confidence. I’m a sensitive person and I always care about what others think of me.
I have a fear of failure and afraid of leaving my comfort zone. For me, this are the possible barriers that
will hinder me from achieving my personal goals but I will try to overcome all those things.
