Grammar 7: Possessive adjectives. Adjetivos posesivos.

No hay mucho que decir sobre los adjetivos posesivos, excepto que debes memorizarlos, ya que sólo tienen
un uso y es el de indicar, como su palabra lo indica, posesión.

my (mi, mis); your (tu, tus, su, sus); his (su, sus, de él); her (su, sus, de ella);
its (su, sus); our (nuestro(a), de nosotros(as)); their (de ellos(as))

encontrarás que los adjetivos posesivos siempre se usan con un sustantivo. Por ejemplo:

My book - mi libro My books - mis libros


Her pen - su bolígrafo (de ella) Her pens - los bolígrafos de ella
His van - su furgoneta (de el) His vans - las furgonetas de él
Its toy - su juguete (del perro, etc) Its toys - sus juguetes (del perro, etc)
Your cat - tu gato Your cats - Tus gatos
Our class - Nuestra clase Our classes - Nuestras clases
Our notebook - Nuestro cuaderno Our notebooks - Nuestros cuadernos
Their car - el carro de ellos(as) Their cars - los carros de ellos(as)

Exercise 7: Possessive adjectives. Adjetivos posesivos.


1. Underline the possessive adjetive and its noun. Write down its meaning. Use a
dictionary. Subraya el adjetivo posesivo y su sustantivo. Escribe su significado.
