assumed lead position at critical juncture to reach project completion on schedu
le. Coordinates hardware manufacture,
transfer, and assembly.
* Provide engineering for preservation of Space Shuttle solid rocket booster and
Orbiter flight structures and hardware for
post-space shuttle program storage\retirement\museum display.
* Coordinate and provide engineering direction to sub-contractors for protective
finish and corrosion removal from major
flight structures by plastic and glass media blasting.
* Provide real-time engineering direction and coordination required to address f
light hardware damage or anomalies and
prescribe hardware repairs and processing.
* Create and/or revise flight hardware processing documentation, meeting and exc
eeding compliance with NASA and safety and
quality assurance requirements.
* Subject matter expert for flight hardware corrosion control, protective coatin
gs, sealants, alkaline substrate cleaners,
solvents, and dry film lubricants.
* Process Review Team leader for periodic process reviews of protective finish,
sealant, and dry film lubricant application
documentation.
