Minnal Murali is malayali superhero , Netflix original film . this film was released on 24 December on
Netflix OTT on the occasion of Christmas . we all know that south indian film industry has been
delivering some phenomenal content to indian cinema . what better examples there can be other than
Bahubali Series , KGF & Pushpa . After Tollywood , Kollywood & Sandalwood ; Now Kerala’s Mollywood
has joined the party to confer remarkable film wih Minnal Murali . indian cinema has produced many
superhero From ‘ Mr. India ‘ to ‘ Flying jatt ‘ and Minnal murali is paramount addition into the list.

Story :

Two man get struck by lightning on Christmas eve , giving them instant superpowers . the one turns to
good and the other into evil. Eventually they clash , the life of hundreds of Kerala’s small village people
at stake . it’s Minnal Murali’s responsibility now to save the people of his village from perilous villain .
will he be able to do that ?

• Performances :

The casting which has been done in the film is near perfect , each individual has delivered an
outstanding performance . The main character of the film , the protagonist ‘ minnal murali ‘ is played by
tovino thomas. He suits in the role of village grown local superhero , especially he had done eye catching
job during the fight sequences . when we talks about superhero films , villains helps define the story’s
hero and one of the main aspects that makes Minnal Murali stand out is its supertastic ‘supervillain’
Shibu. The antagonist shibu played by Guru Somasundaram stands out with his performance
completely. His performance will blow you away , you’ll fall in love with the villian forsure. With that all
the supporting characters has also done decent work femima George , Rajesh madhvan & Baiju kumar.
Especially the character of nephew of superhero played by vasisth umesh will win your heart.

My verdict :

The strongest Thing about the film is that , many superhero stories often lose their identity in wanting to
mimic what the west has done with its characters but minnal murali stays rooted with origin story
making unique and original and something that all of us indian can proud of . the cinematography of the
film brings the carnivalesque tone to the story. What people seeks from the superhero movie is visual
effects and minnal murali scores a first class grades despite moderate budget. The action sequences are
so intriguing and have got so much intensity in it. Moreover the direction of basil thomas is also
topclass. This movie is nothing but the piece of art made from heart. This kind of movies needs to
supported , such an brave attempt from Malayalam film industry.
