Curriculum

In my center I plan to use Creative Curriculum. It’s a curriculum that I have been

exposed to the most and it seems to work the best for the children I teach. It is also

allowing the children to learn through creative and active teaching strategies. The

creative curriculum gets beyond rote learning and focuses on big ideas, interesting

projects, and individual students' passions and needs. I believe that children learn best

through play, and in this curriculum the children are learning through their play and their

own creativity. I want to use this curriculum in our small and large groups during our

daily routines in the classroom. Parents' involvement is so important and in our class we

will send out a newsletter that will discuss our curriculum and lesson for that month and

the week. This way parents are encouraged to work on the related theme at home.
