RESEARCH ON POVERTY
Poverty and inequality should no longer be seen as normal issues that may be
sacrificed to more significant and fundamental interests in maximizing overall economic
production. And then due to a pandemic that made a few people suffer even more and
lose their jobs, especially those who depend on their daily income. Including young
students now rely on internet connection to study because it is forbidden to go out or
gather at school.
Corona virus has infected and will continue to infect millions of people all over the
world. The economic impact is predicted to be large and millions of people will be
pushed into poverty.
In this study, we estimate the impact on those who have more difficulty adjusting to
the new normal of Covid-19 on poverty in Phase 1B Mabuhay Homes Binangonan
Rizal.
This study will help us to know how many people are affected by poverty today, on
our Area, during the pandemic.
In Mabuhay Homes, Barangay of Pantok, in the Province Binangonan, Rizal
Its population was 16,800. However, in our Area Phase 1B, street of Blk 29 there
are 36 Household and in Blk 30 there are 40, while Blk 28 have 37 and 31 have 33.
TOTAL POPULATION
There are 146 family households, in Blk 28, 29, 30, 31. There are
146 family households, in Blk 28, 29, 30, 31. most of them are unemployed
due to pandemic and the total is 53 percent, followed by the employee with
a total of 30 percent, the seller and re-seller are there are 10 percent
numbers, while 4p’s are 2 percent and others 5 percent. and has a total of
100 %.
This graph determined that due to the pandemic most of the people in our
area are unemployed. However, those who have a job and earn monthly are not
as numerous as the unemployed.
