Role Play

1. In the role play, one will act as the Personal Trainer who has displayed
resistance to learning the new routines supplied by Head Office and
continues to use their own. You need to choose a technique to get the
Personal Trainer to support the development and use the routines. The
third person will act as the observer who will complete this table as they
observe your presentation. Scan or take a photo of this completed
checklist and upload with your assessment. Your role play should go for
about 5 minutes.

Manager: Angela Sy

Angela: Good day! Before I have called this private meeting, I have gathered
information from your co-trainers, whom I will disclosed. I was also observing you
everyday in your routines. Do you know what are these things?

Personal Trainer: Are you saying, Ma’am, about the incident where I presented the
information card of our clients to another customer?

Angela: You said it right. And it was not only yesterday. These are the instances that
you have done the same thing. (Show the record to the personal trainer). Now, what
did you remember about our guidelines about this?

Personal Trainer: As what I remember during the orientation, we should disclose


every information about our clients.

Angela: Now what did you break?

Personal Trainer: I am aware that I did the improper way of handling that private
information. Please, allow me to grow with chances from you.

Angela: This is the reason, why we are having this meeting. I never heard of any
complaint about you. We are doing this so you will have chances to change what you
did. In the first place, your improvement will be the success of our company. Can I
expect changes from you?

Personal Trainer: yes, Ma’am, thank you for your kind action regarding this matter. I
will never do that again.
Angela: Yes, please. I hope whatever we talked about here will be left in this room.
Thank you for coming. Do you have anything to ask for?

Trainer: Nothing, Ma’am. Thank you so much. I will go back to my station now.

Angela: yes, Thank you. Bye.
