PACKING CONVEYOR BELT
1.0 PURPOSE:
This SOP provides the guideline for Operation and Cleaning of Conveyor Belt in Packing area.
2.0 SCOPE :
This SOP is applicable to provide the written guidelines for Operation and Cleaning of
Conveyor Belt in Packing area at Medioint Lifescience Pvt Ltd., Pithampur.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 Production Operator/ Officer/ Executive/Department Head shall be responsible for Operation
and Cleaning of Conveyor Belt in packing area.
3.2 Head of department shall be responsible for checking and compliances of this SOP.
3.3 Accountability: Production Head and QA Head shall be accountable for implementation of
this SOP.

PACKING CONVEYOR BELT
6.2 Operation: An activity that is planned to achieve something.
7.0 PROCEDURE:
7.1 Operation:
7.1.1 Before starting conveyor belt ensure that conveyor belt is properly cleaned.
7.1.2 Switch “ON” the start button of the conveyor belt from the main switch and then pushing
green push button of starter.
7.1.3 Observe the direction of belt it must run in opposite direction of the Tube filling Machine. If
not, stop the Conveyor belt by pressing red button from switch board.
7.1.4 Inform the engineering person for setting. After setting, clean the belt with dry duster. Then
start the belt as per point No 7.1.2
7.1.5 Switch “OFF” the conveyor belt after completion of activity, by pressing red push button from
the conveyor belt and from the main switch also.
7.1.6 Keep switch “OFF” of the conveyor belt during each break, at the end of shift and when there
is no activity.
7.1.7 Record the equipment usage in the format for the conveyor belt giving product used, Run time
and down time of the equipment. conveyor belt equipment records QAD 017/F03.
7.2 Cleaning Procedure:
7.2.1 Ensure the status of ‘TO BE CLEANED’ on the equipment with details filled as per SOP No.
QAD 048
7.2.2 Switch “OFF” the conveyor belt from operating and main switch before starting the Cleaning.
7.2.3 Remove all the carton leaflet entrapped.
7.2.4 Clean the surface below the conveyor belt with wet cloth followed by clean dry lint free cloth.
7.2.5 Clean the packing conveyor belt from outside with dry lint free cloth.
7.2.6 Clean the conveyor belt, conveyor table, S.S. stand with dry lint free cloth. Followed by 70%

7.2.7 Replace “TO BE CLEANED” label with duly filled & signed “CLEANED LABEL”
7.2.8 Record the details of cleaning activity in logbook of QAD 017/F06.
8.0 FREQUENCY
Before start of operation and after stop operation.
