Tetra S 316L-G: Technical Data Sheet Cored Welding Wire

Tetra S 316L-G is a rutile flux cored stainless steel wire for gas shielded arc welding with 19% chromium, 12% nickel, and 3% molybdenum. It has exceptional resistance to moisture pick up and provides an attractive bead appearance, automatic slag removal, very good penetration, and high productivity. It is suitable for welding stainless steels with alloy contents between 16-21% Cr, 6-13% Ni, and up to 3% Mo. Typical applications include welding of 316, 316L, 316LN, 316Ti, and 318 stainless steel grades.

DESCRIPTION
• Rutile flux cored stainless steel wire for gas shielded arc welding
• 19% chromium - 12% nickel - 3% molybdenum - low carbon deposit
• Exceptional resistance to moisture pick up
• Attractive bead appearance, automatic slag release, very good penetration and high productivity
• Excellent X-ray soundness
• Maximum performances in the horizontal and downhand positions
• Welded with classical economical Ar-CO2 mixtures or CO2
APPLICATIONS
Tetra S 316L-G is suitable for welding stainless steels with an alloy content between 16 to 21% Cr, 6 to 13% Ni and up to
3% Mo, stabilised and unstabilised types. Service temperatures are typically -110°C to about 400°C.
