II. ESSAY QUESTIONS (10 pts. each)

1. Given the available media that we have now in the world, what are its roles and functions
in a democratic society?

People today are very passionate about technology, we can be updated immediately
about issues or events around the world. Everything can go viral in just a few minutes, even
someone can make false news.

Sometimes because of too much freedom, we expect a nuisance output, not because
we live in an independent country, everything should be done as you wish without thinking
about what others might feel or react to.

The role of the media depends on the people behind it, control must begin with us, as
an individual, start thinking before we spread the news, we cannot expect society to
change if one person from the group cannot do it alone.

2. In what way does media affect your life (personal, professional, academic, social, others)?

For me, it is sad to say that the media is part of our daily lives, that without it we will
have difficulty in our activities or may not be able to continue with life. Honestly we don’t
know that our use of media is becoming normal, we don’t think if it disappears suddenly,
what are we going to do?

I say sadly that we have media in our lives not because media is not important, but
because many people are fooled because of people using it improperly, such as fake news
and many other negatives of use. its. But that just depends on us how we use it, so we use
things properly.

Actually the value of the use of media in our lives has increased, through it we can get
various information about anything, we can talk to those we want to talk to from afar, we
can get the latest news about our environment, etc.
