Speaker is the voice that is telling the story or poem. It is the
narrative voice that speaks of a writers feeling or situation.

To identify the speaker in the story, the following can help you:
1. Reread the story.
2. Note important details.
3. Analyze what is the story all about.
4. Understand the feelings conveyed in the story.

To predict possible ending of a story read you must remember
that you need to note the details found in the text and use those
details to support what you think will happen next.
III. Relate story event to one’s experience.
A story is brought by different experiences from the author or the
people around the author.
To fully connect to a certain story, it is important to; know
the roles of the characters in the story: how are their emotions
being portrayed; and to understand the theme of the story.
Read the story below:
Summer is nearly coming, I can’t wait to go to the river and
swim together with my family. My friends Linda, and July told me
that they will come if ever we will go at the river. I’m very excited to
spend time with my parents, siblings, and friends.
