Delivery Inspection
Once the Cooling Tower arrives at site, usually delivered by a transport
company, and befor e being accepted into storage, or placed into posit ion , the
following should be checked with the dr iver .
Any damage that is noted should be reported to the manufacturer/supplier within
1 day in wr iting supported with photographs.

Storage Inspection
Storage Area
If the equipment is t o be placed into stor age on site pr ior to installat ion there will
be an inspection completed checking the following.

Storage of Cooling Tower
Prior to the cooling t ower being placed into storage the following should be
checked.

Pre-Installation Inspection
Prior to the cooling t ower being installed the following should be checked.

to flooding or ponding of water .

protected.
4 Ensure the cooling t ower can be
fixed to the st eelwor k/plinth/base ,
check for mount ing requirements
with the manufactur er.
5 If there is a buildup of snow within
the location of the cooling tower ,
it will not affect its operation or
maintenance requirements.
6 The installation of the cooling
tower will not impede the
installat ion of the pipewor k ,
cables etc.
7 All connect ions,
pipework/duct work etc., can be
independently supported and not
supported by the cooling tower .

Pre-Commissioning Inspection
Once the equipment has been installed and prior to functional testing and
commissioning phase taking place the following will be checked.
