Check list for Emergency Lighting System Device

1 Verify the emergency lighting system devices installed have an approved material submittal.

2 Check and ensure the devices are new and free from damages.

3 Ensure the drawings used for installation are latest and approved by Consultant.

4 Check the devices identification against relevant approved shop drawings.

5 Check the directional signs of Exit lights against approved shop drawings.

6 Check the mounting height of wall mounted luminaires against relevant approved shop drawings.

7 Check and ensure that the ceiling mounted luminaires are installed based on approved reflected ceiling plan.

Check the location and spacing of devices in coordination with other services and ensure the access availability for future
maintenance.

9 Check the fixing and rigidity of supports.

10 Ensure that the devices are covered and protected from damages during the construction work.

11 Cable glanding, termination, grounding and ferruling completed in an approved manner.

12 Ensure all terminations are tightened as required.

13 Protect the Devices after the installation.

Final round of inspection of complete installation shall be completed as per specifications / approved submittals prior to Civil
Defence Authorities Inspection.
