DCEM2100 Opacity/Dust Monitor
In-situ, low maintenance devices for continuous monitoring Measurements
of opacity/dust emissions.
Opacity / Dust
The DCEM2100 provide a continuous measurement of opacity or dust
concentration in flue gases by continuously measuring the transmissivity
of visible light across a process duct or stack.
Its dual-pass optical arrangement is based on twin transmissometers
measuring in opposing directions through the same section of the gas
stream, providing not only an accurate average of the dust loading, but
also providing a unique dynamic assessment of any misalignment errors
due to stack movement.
The measurement of opacity or particulate (dust) emissions from a process
stack by measuring changes in optical transmission is simple in concept,
but the monitor must be insensitive to any other factors that degrade the
optical transmission such as contamination of optical surfaces or gross
misalignment.

VCEM5100 Flue Gas Flow Monitor
In-situ, low maintenance devices for continuous measurement Measurements
of hot gas flow
Flow
The VCEM 5100 represents the latest generation of CODEL’s unique flow
monitors. These systems measure the velocity of stack gases using a highly
accurate time of flight measurement that is derived from a cross
correlation analysis of the infra-red emissions of the turbulent gas.
Two robust infrared detectors are used for the prime sensing, mounted on
the stack or duct typically 1m apart in the direction of flow.
High efficiencyair curtains are fitted to considerably extend the time between
maintenance periods and window cleaning (typically 1 year).
The VCEM 5100 is a standalone unit which can be easily integrated into an
existing or proposed CEMS system. It includes a dedicated Data Dislpay Unit
for local data interrogation.

EnergyTech 201
Rugged & robust design developed for easy Measurements
installation. CO & O2
Proven unique sample port design with minimal
maintenance required.
Rapid and accurate results for safe operation of
coal handling systems
The early detection of coal fires in coal handling systems on coal fired power
stations is essential to prevent catastrophic damage to expensive plant and
serious injury to personnel. The most reliable and accurate method of detecting
coal fires or smouldering is to monitor the carbon monoxide levels within the
coal handling plant areas such as silos and mills and to detect
rapid increases in concentration.
The CODEL system samples the gas from the critical area through a steel
sintered filter mounted in the wall of the chamber. This removes the need for
intrusive sampling probes which are prone to wear and are expensive to
replace.
The filter is back flushed with compressed air at regular intervals to ensure an
uninterrupted flow of sample gas and to minimise maintenance.

EnergyTech 301 - Dust Monitor
A low cost dust monitor using well-proven Measurements
technology providing accurate and rapid results. Dust
Being adaptable it can can be used on duct sizes
from 250mm to 5m making the EnergyTech 301 a
suitable sensor for a wide range of applications
where a dust measurement is required.
EnergyTech 301 continuous dust monitor uses the well-proven
tribo-electric sensor technology to directly measure mass particulate
concentration by sensing the frictional charge created when particles collide
with a conductor.
The advanced electronics of the EnergyTech 301 detect this signal and present
it to the operator via RS485 or 4-20mA directly out from the sensor head. The
EnergyTech 201 also features a built in display for viewing live sensor data as
well as for configuration and calibration. The measurement levels can be
corrected to mg/m3 via an integrated calibration function.
The tribo-electric technique is extreamly sensitive, capable of detecting dust

EnergyTech 401 - CO Monitor
low maintenance - only simple, infrequent Measurements
checks to windows are required CO
With no sampling system to maintain, CODEL cross-duct monitors are easy to
install and simple to operate – vital for plant where there may be little or
no technical support available.
The EnergyTech 401 analyser may be used as a complete stand alone monitor
or as part of an integrated emission monitoring, logging and reporting system.
The instrument is particularly suited to large/dirty processes. The EnergyTech
401 projects an infrared beam across the duct and through the flue gas to a
receiver unit. The light beam is tuned to a specific wavelength
where CO molecules absorb light energy. The more molecules there are in the
light beam the greater the absorption.

Smoke
The early detection of coal fires in coal handling,
processing and storing systems on coal fired power
stations is essential to prevent catastrophic damage
to expensive plant and serious injury to personnel.
The EnergyTech 501 Ambient Dust Monitor, is an essential part
of any application where ambient dust is present such as coal
handling, processing and storage. By monitoring the ambient
visibility of the handling processes the EnergyTech 501
provides an alarm output for use in containment control.
Fully configurable analogue and alarm outputs are exportable
to the plant data acquisition system to provide real-time
visibility data. This data is also exported via the RS 485 serial
port along with the temperature data. This link delivers
MODBUS RTU encoded data to a SCADA system located
