Ucrete Heavy Duty Polyurethane Flooring MasterTop Epoxy Resin Flooring Systems MasterTop Resilient Polyurethane Floor Finishes. MasterTop Dry Shake Floor Toppings ur flooring systems are designed to meet the most exacting physical or chemical resistance needs. Performance characteristics can include a slip-resistant surface, steam cleanability and resistance to thermal shock, providing added safety in wet chemical and food processing environments. These easy to maintain seamless products are also available in static conductive grades for controlled work environments. For offices, shops, institutions and laboratories, BASF has a range of decorative floor finishes which can replace resilient, ceramic or stone floors in public areas. Where aesthetics alone are the specification criteria, BASF has innovative new flooring systems to satisfy the most demanding architect or designer. An almost infinite variety of effects can be achieved through the use of carefully selected aggregates, or by encapsulating objects or ilustrations beneath protective resin coatings, which makes these systems ideal for Banks, Leisure Facilities, Prestige Retailers and Corporate Headquarters. Where cementitious floors are simply not good enough because of chemical spilages, cleanliness, hygiene or aesthetic reasons, a synthetic resin flooring system may be required These systems, from thin tings to heavy-dut screeds, may be based on a variety of resin binder systems. Most common are epoxy traditional poly andheavy-duty polyurethane systems hese resin types have different combinations o' properties that need to to get the best system for a particular application, Whatever the nature of your facility, BASF can help you to make the right flooring choice It has a fundamental understanding of concrete and t latest admixture technology as well as an unrivalled track record in the production of durable flooring systems. This results, in the material hardening at a very low water-cement ratio, ‘monolithically with the base concrete, creating an integral and extremely hard-wearing surface. Dry Shake Flooring Systems are extremely cost effective as ‘they are installed with the main floor slabs by the same concrete flooring contractor. Since there is no separate instalation process they have no effect on the programming of a project. MasterTop Dry Shake Floors provide polished, coloured floors which are very long lasting, even in aggressive environments such as narrow aisle and high bay warehousing. Compared to standard concrete the use of coloured or light reflective floors can brighten up a workspace, reduce lighting costs and provide an attractive and efficient working environment. ‘The metal aggregated MasterTop 200 provides tough floor, the iron aggregates annealing under load to produce maximum abrassion resistance. If required, a matt wash is, available to reduce reflective glare. In normal engineering, assembly and warehouse applications a MasterTop 1200 floor provides a bright and colourful floor that is seamless, non- porous and non-dusting, It has good resistance to mineral oils, including skydrol and to dilute acids and alkalis. These same properties make the MasterTop 1200 systems hygienic and easy to clean, ideally sulted to dry process, technical and storage areas in pharmaceutical and food production facilities for example. In refurbishment applications, the wide range of thickness which can be installed greatly facilitates the repair and making good of old damaged substrates. Most other resin flooring materials, soften at temperatures in the region 50°C ~ 60°C. Together with the high resilience of Ucrete floors, this, enables them to withstand high temperatures and extreme thermal shock conditions. Ucrete industrial flooring is able to withstand routine and regular discharges of boiling water. It is clear that in extreme thermal shock environments a good quality well designed substrate is required. In particular the potentially large thermal movernents of the substrate must be allowed for. In 1984, the Magor production facility, a major UK beverage supplier, installed 2800 m of Ucrete flooring in their kegging hall (opposite and left) More than 25 years later, the floor is still in service, as you can see in these in these photographs. The floor takes hot water and chemical spillage under the keg washers as well as the impact from the ‘occasional keg that manages to escape. With the line filing up to 1000 barrels per hour round the clock, its clear that stopping is not an option. The huge cost of closing this plant to replace the floor far outweighs any extra cost in having a quality Ucrete floor in the first place. Since this floor was installed, the production facility has used many ‘thousands of meters of Ucrete floors. Not surprisingly, it continues to do so today. 18 seen tr tore Sete trot Key L= Light Duty “echnical data is based on laboratory tests at 20°C and site experience ands true at time M-= Medium Duty of going to print.
