INTRODUCTION
Introduction

During the British rule in India. Lever brothers England introduced modern soap by
important and marketing them in India however north, east Soap Company created the first soap
manufacturing plant in India.

Soap is the traditional compound made from oil fat and caustic alkali. One can say
adetergent is the onethat cleans any surface. Synthetic Detergent isquite differentfrom other
kinds ofdetergent. more foam is produced with such kinds of detergent , moreover , there is
less tension created on the dirty surface yet emulsification takes places and the detergent
the surface much faster. This is the reason whythe cleaning process is fast.

OJT Meaning
The on the job training is to acquaint the students formally to a real life work
place environment . This the knowledge & skills those OJT means training the public and
private sector that is given to a paid employee while he or she is engaged in productive work and
that provides that knowledge and skill essential to the full and adequate performance on the job
prepare the work , present the task, practice the task follow up.

Between the work and supervisor can provide specific performance important and
correction. Thisenables student to understand and respond better to the market demand. will help
to explore the relationship between acquired in college .

INDUSTRY PROFILE

Manufacture of soap began in England around the end of the 12th century. Soap
makers had to pay a heavy tax on all soap they produced . the tax collector locked the
lids on soap boiling pans every night to prevent illegal soap manufacture after hours .

Because of the high tax , soap was a luxury item , and it did not come into
common use in England until after the tax was repealed in 1853 in the 19th century, soap
was affordable and popular through Europe.

Ashwathi Enterprise a unit of achellam soap company. Companiesin this industrymanufacture


soap and detergent products. major companies included church & Dwight , Colgate - Palmolive
, Henkel , nice group and unlevel . Thetop 50companies generate about 90% of revenue.

is a favorite brand in soaps, bath soaps& detergents market, and a market leader for
over 30 yrs in the laundry soaps market.

Today v.s.chellam soap & detergent factory has again regained the glory of its
parent company. the company is among the leading manufacturing in the laundry bar soap
market, its brand v.s.chellam herbal wash is a market leader. We also manufacture bath
soap in the brand name chill, detergent products cake in the name of brute.

In production department, the objectives should be to produce goods at least cost and to satisfy
the buyer. Production is the functional area responsible for turning inputs into finished
outputs

Process:
Mixer machine - mixing a raw materials in correct ratios , fragrance and perfumes
are added to the soap mixture to cover the odor of dirt and to leave behind a fresh -
smelling scent . The equipment used is a verticalstainless steel.

 Saponification dryer - dryer is a technique which is used to cover the neat soap
into pellets of dry soap .the moisture content of the soap pellets may vary depending
on the desired characteristics and properties of the soap bars
 milling machine - after the soap from mills , it is pressed into a smooth cylinder
and extruded.
 Bar extrusion machine- extrude exact weight bars with consistentthickness, width and
length.
 Cutting - the extruders integrated cut off device controls the length of the soap bars
.
 Stamping - thesoap is pressing has been designedtostamp andshaped soap.
 Wrapping - cover the bars.
 Packing - finishing line of the soap.

Finished goods store in a ware house and selling a soap . production department
under working a 40 workers . Maintainmachineryproperly.

process of identifying, measuring and communicating economic information is only through
finance. At the same time management must fast their knowledge, tools and technique that can
be used for analyzing and interpreting the available information in order to accomplish
managerial objectives. Finance is the life blood of all organization.

It has coordination with all other department. It deals with the methods of rising of
funds through a combination of direct revenue from sales, loans, banks and from other Agencies.
An assessment of the financial statement helps us to understand the overall progress of a concern
strength or weakness. The annual income and expenditure reports are prepared monthly P&L a/c
will be submitted to the administration section. It maintains account for the future reference.

The store keeper is the important person for the store. he is the in charge of the
store department and also responsible for store control. He must be a skilled person and
takes care of the store . he keeps a watch full eye on the movement of the materials with
a view to control the materials in the store. He is known as chief - store keeper or store
superintendent . a store keeper should have technical knowledge and experience in the
maintenance of the store.

He should have organizing ability and undoubted integrity. He should be allotted to each
and every item.
Duties and Responsibility:
 The store keeper is to receive the material from the suppliers .
 The material received by the store keeper must be arranged in a proper manner .
 It is the duty of the store keeper to record the receipt and issue of materials in
the receipt and issue materials in the respective bin card regularly .
 He has to see the materials have been sent by the suppliers on the basis of
purchase order.
 The store keeper issue the materials as per the requisitions of the production .
