2.1 SOR - CHAPTER 3 -
Roads and Bridges Excavation for roadway in ordinary rock with hydraulic excavator including
(Point 3.4) cutting and loading in tippers, transporting to embankment site with in all
lifts and lead upto 1000 m, trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance
with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections as per relevent
clauses of section-300 of specification.

3 PROVIDING AND LAYING Tile road/CC/Bituminous pavements (water distribution network)

Providing and laying bituminous macadam with hot mix plant using
crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder,
SOR Vol. III - Chapter 5 transported to site, laid over a previously prepared surface with
mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and
rolled as per clauses 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the desired compaction
complete in all respects and as per relevant clauses of section-504.
5.3 (i) Grading I ( 80-100mm thickness ) bitumen content 3.3% (VG-30)
Construction of dowel jointed, plain cement concrete pavement in M-30
grade concrete over a prepared sub base with 43 or higher grade cement,
coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS:383 maximum size of coarse
aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, mixed in a batching and mixing plant as
per approved mix design, transported to site, laid with a fixed form or slip
form paver with spreading the concrete by shovels, rakes compacted using
SOR Vol. III - Chapter 6
needle, screed and plate vibrator and finished in a continuous operation
(Pt. 6.2)
including provision of contraction, expansion, and longitudinal joints, joint
filler, separation membrane, sealant primer, joint sealant, debonding strip,
placing of dowel bar,tie rod admixtures as approved, curing compound,
finishing to lines and grades as per approved drawings as per IRC-15 2011
and as per relevant clauses of section-602 of specifications complete
excluding cost of steel in dowel ber & tie rod etc

SOR Vol. 1 - Chapter Cutting Kharanja road and making good the same including supply
18 (pt. 18.54) of extra quantities of Kharanja, moorum.
Water Bound Macadam - Providing, laying, spreading and compacting
stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam including
spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller
8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming
SOR Vol. III - Chapter 4 requisite type of screening/ binding materials to fill up the interstices of
[Pt. 4.3 I (a)] coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density and as
per relevant clauses of section-404 of specifications.
