The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals give us a global plan for a sustainable future,

both economically, environmentally and not least socially.


Tasks.
1. Read and understand intently the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Explain
each goal.
1. No Poverty
Aims to end poverty by giving people the access to basic healthcare, security and
education.
2. Zero Hunger
Research says, 9 out of 10 people are undernourished. The goal of this is to end
forms of malnutrition and end hunger by giving the poor the access to nutritious and
sufficient food all year.
3. Good Health
To ensure that the people live a healthy life that can reduce the child morality and
raise life expectancy. Increase health spending as well as health workforce recruitment,
development, training, and retention in developing nations, particularly in least developed
countries and small island developing states.
4. Education
To give everyone the access to inclusive and equitable quality education. Increase
the number of young people and adults with relevant skills, such as technical and
vocational skills, for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.
5. Gender Equality
Strengthen the human right for a prosperous world. At all levels, adopt and
reinforce strong policies and enforced legislation to promote gender equality and the
empowerment of all women and girls.
6. Clean Water
Provide clean water to the people across the world to protect them from diseases.

7. Clean Energy
To use more renewable energy, efficient and affordable energy. improve

technology
8. Economic Growth
Aims to have a sustainable economy and decent employment for everyone.
Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job
creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization
and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to
financial services
9. Industry and infrastructure
Building resilient infrastructure and to strengthen and promote innovation.
modernize infrastructure and adapt industries to make them more sustainable, with higher
resource efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies
and industrial processes, with all countries acting according to their individual
capabilities.
10. No Inequality
To make the 40% poorest population increase their income faster than average.

11. Sustainability
Increase affordable housing. Ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable

waste products effects and to encourage recycling.
13. Climate Action
To regulate the emissions and promote systems for building capacity in least
developed countries and small island developing states for effective climate change
planning and management, with an emphasis on women, youth, and local and
marginalized populations.
14. Life Underwater
The objective is to conserve and exploit oceans, seas, and marine resources in a
sustainable manner. Prevent and drastically reduce all types of marine pollution,
including marine debris and nutrient contamination, especially from land-based
operations.
15. Life on Land
Assure the conservation, restoration, and long-term use of terrestrial and inland
freshwater ecosystems and services, particularly forests, wetlands, mountains, and
drylands, in accordance with international treaties.
16. Peace and Justice
Strengthen essential national institutions, especially through international
cooperation, to create capacity at all levels to avoid violence and combat terrorism and
crime, particularly in developing countries. Reduce illicit money and arms flows
significantly, improve asset recovery and return, and battle all types of organized crime.
17. Partnership
If all countries are to achieve the goals, international cooperation is vital.
