10. Course overview:
The subjects that will be given in this course are decided by College of Engineering. And it is
required to obtain Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
11. Course objective:
Introduction to Hydraulic structures, types and function of them, understanding the hydraulic effect
on structures and methods of analyses and design. Different type of hydraulic structure will be
included in study course like Canals, regulators, culverts, dam and spillway.
At the end of this course, students should familiarize and understand the principles of hydraulic
design of different type water related structure and should be able to design Hydraulic structures
for different case and status considering efficient, safe and economic design

12. Student’s obligation


The students should attend most of the lectures (maximum abstention rate allowed is 10%),
completion the home works and assignment that are given them during the course. They should do
at least two exams before the last exam.
