A rotary motion shaker is a low impact or low G-Force. A rotary shaker moves in a circular
motion. Has less impact on the screen therefore allowing the sand on the screen to ball
up or “piggy back”. This “piggy back” affect allows even the smallest particles to ball
and trap with the larger solids rolling off the screen.

The Sand Guzzler is a patented pick-up

pump, which has the capacity of carrying
rocks and other debris along with
drilling fluid.
The Sand Guzzler is a self contained centrifugal pump which comes
in two different sizes and is available in three different materials.

The Sand Guzzler is placed in a small pit near the drill hole so that it
can be totally submersed in the drilling fluid that rises from the hole.
In normal operation the content of the pit will rise and fall. As the
Sand Guzzler gets covered it will fill with drilling fluid and any rocks
or cuttings up to 2” diameter, through openings around its base.

Once inside the Sand Guzzler it is pumped sown hoses to the

MudPuppy, using internal impellers.

With no seals or bearings in the pump the

Sand Guzzler can run dry.

Tibban 250 Pump

The concentric housing is 35% thicker for extra strength and extended
service life and reduces the radial load of the bearings. Open-vaned
impeller is designed to reduce turbulence, eliminate recirculation, lower
radial and thrust load, and provide a smooth flow of fluids. The larger
diameter shaft gives heavy-duty performance with minimum shaft
deflection. Heavy-duty outboard bearing assembly consist of a pair of
angular contact bearings with high thrust load rating and zero end play.
The heavy-duty inboard bearing is a double row ball-bearing with high
radial load rating to compensate for the larger size impeller and
heavy-duty applications. The oil bath lubrication system is designed with a
larger oil reservoir, that provides free circulation of oil and better heat
dissipation for longer bearing life.

 Concentric housing design is available in right hand or left hand operation. It
reduces turbulence within the pump to minimize cavitation, shaft deflection, and excessive
wear. The semi open impeller is designed to handle water or heavy slurries with equal
efficiency. Replaceable wear plates protects the pedestal from wear and corrosion caused
by fluids being pump, therefore, extending the life of the pump. The beefed-up frame
design is stronger and more rigid in all wear areas. It gives a larger work area to facilitate
packing the pump, which cuts repacking time. Heavy duty bearings are well protected by
oil seals and water slinger designed to keep fluid and dirt out of the bearing cavity. Eccen-
tric locks are used so the shaft can be easily removed without special tools.

How to inspect the Desander Cone

Many of our readers might not realize
that desander cones wear out, and when they need to
be replaced. If your desander cones are not
performing like they used to, and you are seeing
more liquid than sand coming out of your cones, it
may be time to inspect them.
Inspecting your desander cones is
important and easy to accomplish. To inspect your
desander cones, first remove them from the
