Statement of Purpose

Statement of purpose

Hello sir/ma’am, myself Akshay Pathak. A desire to extend my knowledge and enthusiasm to
solve the demanding problems faced by people today motivated me to pursue law. Coming from
very backward town and seeing my people suffering from lack of justice always dishearten me
which made me realize something important that lack of awareness of law is a root cause of
crime which I believe can only tackle by fostering awareness about law, I think first step towards
the eradication of crime is to prevent crime in the first place itself which can only be achieved by
making people aware of consequences which I think is one of the main purpose of LAC. As said
earlier me being from very small town I’m always come across various instances where people
got exploited just because sheer lack of basic knowledge about law and rights they possess as a
Indian citizen and also fear of getting caught in the vicious cycle of “court-kachari” which
Ialways wanted to change. As I said earlier, Coming from very backward town I know the
importance of the guidance which a Mentor could provide to his mentees. I myself faced various
difficulties during my preparation for clat so I have first-hand experience how a direction from
mentor can be instrumental to your preparation and also at my humble town I seen people
wandering aimlessly without any direction to achieve their goal and eventually get failed only
because they didn’t have anybody to direct them in right direction.
