Steel Production

Crude steel production increased 4.2% in May 2011 compared to May 2010. China accounted for the largest amount at 60 million tons, followed by the European Union at 16.3 million tons and the US at 7.3 million tons. Production increased in major countries such as China, India, Germany, Italy and South Korea compared to May 2010.
