HD-1 XPansion Sounds—Vol. 1

This set of 256 new HD‐1 Programs includes nuanced 
pianos for specific applications (brighter sounds for 
cutting through on stage, upright piano sounds 
inspired by classic British rock, 80s synth and stage 
pianos, etc.); vintage electric pianos, reed pianos and 
clavinets; jazz, rock, and church organs; acoustic 
strings and vintage string keyboards; brass and 
woodwinds; vocals, bells, and more.

Some Programs require EXs1

Some of these Programs use Multisamples from EXs1; 
if EXs1 is not loaded, they will not sound properly. All 
such Programs include “EXs1” in their names. 

Transferring the sounds from your

computer
After downloading the sounds:
1. Un‐zip the downloaded file.
The zip archive contains the HD1_XP1.PCG and 
HD1_XP2.PCG files, and these instructions.
2. Save the two .PCG files to a USB hard drive, flash 
media, or an ISO9660 CD‐R/RW disk.
3. Connect the USB storage device to the OASYS, or 
insert the CD‐R/RW disk into the OASYS drive.
4. If you’re using a USB storage device, go to the 
DISK mode Media Information page, and use the 
Scan Device menu command.
5. Go to the Disk Utility page, and use the Copy 
menu command to copy the two .PCG files to the 
OASYS internal hard disk.

Loading the sounds into internal memory

Each PCG file contains a single bank of Programs, 
which by default will load into USER‐G. You can also 
load them into other banks, if you prefer, by following 
the instructions below.

Loading the sounds into the default bank (USER-G)

To load the sounds into the default bank:
1. Go to the Disk Load page.
2. Select the desired .PCG file—either 
HD1_XP1.PCG or HD1_XP2.PCG.
3. Press the Load button.
A dialog box appears.
4. Leave the .PCG Contents menu set to All.
5. Press OK.
The sounds will be loaded into Program bank USER‐G.

Loading the sounds into different banks

You can also load the Programs into any HD‐1‐capable 
bank (INT‐A through INT‐E, or USER‐A through 
USER‐G). To do so, use the Open button on the Disk 
Load page to tunnel down into the .PCG file until you 
see the individual bank, and then load it as desired.
