Performance Objective:
Given the necessary tools, materials, supplies and equipment, you should be able to draft a
back bodice pattern for blouse following the required standards with 1 hour
Supplies/Materials

Step/Procedure:
AB = Bodice Length
AC = ¼ bust meas. + 1”
BD = AC
CD = AB
AE = ½ shoulder point width then extend the line downward
EF = ½” then extend the line downward
AG = 2 ½” – 3” extend the line downward
EH = 1 ½”
HI = 4”
AJ = 3”-5” extend the line inward
Connect point G to point J with a French curve
CK = 9”-10” extend the line inward
Connect point H to point I to point K with a French curve
AL = apex height
LM = 1/2 apex distance
BN = 1/2 apex distance minus ½”
NO = ½”
OP = ½”
BNOPQ = ¼ waist meas. + 1”
AR = shoulder blade height
RS = ½ shoulder blade distance
BT= ½ shoulder blade distance minus ½”
TU = ½”
UV = ½”
BTUVW = ¼ waist meas. + 1 ½”
AX = Full bodice length
XX’ = ½” then connect point Y to point X’ with a hip curve for front hemline
XY = ¼ upper hips meas. + ½
Connect point K to point Q to point Y with a hip curve front side
Back Bodice Procedure:
AA’ = ½”-1”
II’ = 1/2”
Connect point K to point W to point Y with a hip curve for back side

Draw perpendicular lines then mark the corner point A
AB = 4 inches downward
AC = hip depth
AD = skirt length
Draw horizontal lines for point B, C, D
AE = 1/4 waist measurement + 1 1/4 inch to the right
BF = 1/4 first hip measurement + 1/2 inch to the right
CH = 1/4 second hip measurement + 1/2 inch to the right
Connect point E, F, G with hip curve
DH = CG
From point H measure 1/2 inch upward, mark it point I
Connect point G to I with a straight line

Measure the midway of point AE, mark it point J
