It contains 3 sections: 1) Checks and descriptions of initial cable installation requirements. 2) Installation checks to ensure proper cable laying, dressing, tagging, bending radius, and testing. 3) A punch list section to document any outstanding items. Ensure the initial bed of sand is provided as per standard and it's
thickness.
Cables laid as per the schedules, minimize criss-crossing of cables with in
trench.

Ensure cable tray size as per drawing for cable laying.

Ensure cable tray support & tray clamping before cable laying.

Ensure proper dressing on cable tray.

Ensure aluminium clamp provided in vertical dropping.

Ensure cable tags at specified locations.

Ensure after cable laying any damage and crack.

Check minimum bending radius will be maintained where required.

Record IR value of cables before laying.

Ensure HI-Pot of HT cables.


Installation checks
Provide second layer of sand and ensure clearance between HT/LT cables
(wherever applicable).
Complete layer wise laying of cables provide saddles and clamps as
required.

Ensure final layer of sand to be filled.

Ensure lined trenches in hazardous areas are filled up to top with sand.

Provide bricks and safety danger tape for cable protection in buried
tranches.

Ensure backfilling of trench with earth & compact properly.

Install cover slabs and seal the trenches in plant/offsite areas (for lined
trenches only)

Remove surplus earth generated.

Provide cable route markers as specified.
