      The Learjet 60 XR -a mid-size cabin, medium-range business jet – is
the largest of the certified Learjet family to date and incorporates new
fuel-efficient engines, a wider, stretched fuselage, a glass cockpit and
steer-by-wire nose wheel.
     Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada 305A engines, it has a
range of 2,398 nautical miles (4,330 km) with NBAA 100 nmi (190 km)
reserves, ISA. This Engine is made exclusively for Bombardier Learjet
60/60XR and incorporate the latest advanced
technologies in the drive to exceed customers'
expectations in performance, reliability,
durability, fuel consumption and

     The lower range is given by the solid fuselage structure making the
Learjet more safety and sustainable, but there is not a considerable
range difference. In the same time, because of the powerful engines,
Learjet 60 XR is faster in comparison with other competitive airplanes.
     The Learjet 60XR model has a slightly lower operating cost per mile
at $3.35 compared to the Gulfstream G150 at $3.69, and costs the least
per mile of the field.
