Gujarat and also in other states - Orissa, Haryana, Jharkhand etc.

• Introduced Marine Magnetotelluric technique first time in India and executed in Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat
for oil exploration
• Lead a team to investigate and execute research projects related to Oil exploration in Saurashtra,
Narmada and Deep crustal studies, earthquake studies, Geothermal studies.
• Built a strong team to continue these studies on all India basis covering all the relevant areas.

• Former executive member of IUGG, IAGA, EMSEV, EMI organizations.
• Ph.D awarded by Univ. of Edinburgh, UK (under commonwealth scholarship 1984-87).
• Visiting Professor Univ. of Tokyo, Japan.

• Visited more than 25 countries on various invittions/occasions.

1. Research/ teaching:
At CSIR-NGRI: Published more than 70 publications in national and
international journals and visited countries with a total of 33 visits to participate
in research conferences and meetings. Worked closely with OIDB, DGH.
At GERMI: Published more than 50 papers in national and international journals
with innovation on oil, renewables and visited abroad on invitation to promote
R&D. Gave several guest lectures in Pandit Deendayal Petroleum
University, Gujarat. Worked closely with GSPC Ltd. Promoted many solar
project/publications
At GTU: Initiated an innovative research project on GEOTOURISM fully funded
by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd.
At Crescent: An Ecosystem of research culture developed and motivated the
faculty. Initiated 4 pilot scale plants related to Renewable Energy. Teaching
Research methodology course for international Ph.D students.
2. Industry-Academia collaborations:
At CSIR-NGRI: Executed oil projects funded by OIDB, ONGC Ltd. and OIL.

 At GERMI: Managed an innovative software project funded by ONGC. Gave
an invited lecture on the occasion of ONGC-Baroda annual day.
At GTU: Promoted innovative projects related to smart cities with Ahmedabad
Municipal Corporation.
At Crescent: Five MOU’s have been signed to promote renewable energy
projects with industry collaboration and developed energy projects.
3. Administrative achievement:
At CSIR-NGRI: Project Leader for 11.5 years (2000-2011) and executed more
than 10 Industry supportive sponsored projects related to Oil exploration, deep
crustal studies, applied research projects etc.
At GERMI: Head of the institute for 5 years as Director and 2 years as Director
General. Received recognition by Department of Scientific Industrial
Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, received recognition as Energy Auditor by
Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA). Managed OIL projects of
GSPC, Chairman of finance committee few times for GSPC and IIIT-
Vadodara, software project with ONGC.
At GTU: As an advisor initiated a center for Human Resource Development for
smart cities development,(GTU-GSSD) inaugurated by Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu
garu, the present vice-president of India
At Crescent: As the Director of Energy, sponsored projects consultancy
(ESPAC) achieved more than 70 Govt. and non-Govt. projects amounting to
more than 400 Lakh rupees during 2018-19. Chairman of Research extension
activities and trying to achieve A+ grade for the institute in NAAC accreditation
