Research Title:
Effect of Online Games to the Academic Performance of
Senior High School Students year 2021-2022

Scope and Delimitation:

Out of 200 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM students of Cebu
Technological University, 100 of them are assigned to conduct this survey.
This study is aimed at identifying the effects of mobile games on student learning. The
research will be conducted by using questionnaires and interviews with students in Cebu
Technological University senior high school.
This study is limited only to senior high school in Cebu Technological University. It will be
conducted inside the school premises. This study considers every aspect of students’ personal
information that has an impact on their academic performances such as their parent’s educational
background, their parent’s income, their gender, age and home location. In addition, it will focus
on the role of parents in their children’s education. To achieve this objective, the researcher will
conduct a survey of students at Cebu Technological University. The results of this research are
analyze through descriptive statics analysis. The findings of this study will help researchers to
understand how different factors influence student’s academic performance. And this study
focuses on the current senior high school students at a present year, 2021-2022.

Significance of the study:


The study is conducted to collect information on senior high school students of CTU in year 2021-
2022 regarding the effects of online games in their academic performance. This study is very helpful
because those who responded to the survey can help relate their thoughts and ideas to the following:
To Senior High School Students: Senior High School students that do not play online games can get tips
and ideas about how online gaming affects the academic performance of students.
To Readers: Readers can get information about how online gaming affects the academic performance of
senior high school students’ in CTU in the year 2021-2022.
To Teachers: Teachers will become more conscious about their students’ academic performance.

Research Title:

Effect of typhoon Odette to the Children’s Mental Health

Scope and Delimitation:

This study aims to examine the impact of typhoon Odette on children’s mental health. We used a
questionnaire that was administered in a semi-structured interview with children’s aged between 6 and
12 years old. We found out that were significant differences in the outcomes of both child and adult
studies. These results suggest that the children who are exposed to typhoons are more likely to develop a
depression, mental disable and other problems later in life.
This research is supported by findings of our previous studies which showed that children
experience tragedy. In addition, it shows that children who have experienced severe storms are more
likely to suffer from depression and trauma. This study conducted last year.

Significance of the study:


The study is conducted to collect information on the children’s who are affected to the typhoon
Odette regarding about the effects of the tragedy in their life. This study is very helpful because those
who responded to the survey can help relate their thoughts and ideas to the following:
To the Children’s: Children’s who are affected and not affected to the typhoon can get an ideas
and tips the affects their mental health.
To the Readers: Readers can get information about the impacts or effects of the typhoon Odette
to the mental health of the children’s.

Effects of early pregnancy of the General Academic


Strand students in Aloguinsan National High School

Scope and Delimitation:


Out of 190 General Academic Strand students of Aloguinsan National High School, 100 students
were used as a sample in conducting the survey.

This study aimed at identifying the effects of early pregnancy to the General Academic Strand
students of Aloguinsan National High School. This research will be conducted by using questionnaire and
interviews to the specific students. Its main purpose is to identify the common problems that
they encounter and to propose possible solutions regarding this problems.

This research limited only to the GAS students of Aloguinsan National High School who was
suffered early pregnancy. The ideas of this study are giving some information about the effects of early
pregnancy to the students between the age of 13 and 19 years old. And this study focuses to the current
General Academic Strand students of Aloguinsan National High School at current year 2021-2022.

Significance of the study:


This study is conducted to collect information about the effects of the early pregnancy of the GAS
students in Aloguinsan National High School at current year 2021-2022. This study is very helpful
because those who responded to the survey can help relate their thoughts and ideas to the following:
To Students: Students can get ideas about how early pregnancy affects their studies.
To Readers: Readers can get ideas how the students suffering the early pregnancy.
To Teachers: Teachers can get some information about their students who facing early pregnancy
and how they react on it.
To Parents: Parents can get information to this study about the students or their children who
was suffering to the early pregnancy and how they manage to tell their children of what they feel.
