SAFETY, HEALTHAND
WELFARE STANDARDS
In the Technical Drawing Office (Classroom), Basic elements of classroom
organization must be employed as part of the commitment to the Health,
Safety and Welfare of everyone using the room, To this End:
The drawing office must be kept neat and tidy.
. Desks and chairs must be arranged in such a way that students can move
easily from one side of the classroom to the other.
. Clearly label the place where students turn in homework
Do not encourage overcrowding or bottle necking.
SAFETYRESOURCES
Safety and hygiene standards in technical drawing materials can be: Toxic,
can cause physical injury by inhalation, ingestion or by skin contact. They
can be irritating, causing inflammation of the skin, eyes, mucous membranes,
or pain. Do not eat or drink from the work area (to avoid accidental
ingestion).
SAFETY, HEALTH, AND WELFARE REQUIREMENTS
The Safety and hygiene standards in technical drawing Are essential because
they look for projects that are free of dirt and have an impeccable
presentation.
It is imperative that the job site of a professional drawing professional does
not have stains of ink, dust, or rubbish. Always be aware that work items such
as squares, compasses, rulers, and bevel are clean because they are the
elements.
SAFETYAND HYGIENESTANDARDS W TECHNICAL
DRAWING
1. Drawing materials can be: Toxic, can cause physical injury by inhalation,
ingestion or by skin contact. They can be irritating, causing inflammation of
the skin, eyes, mucous membranes, or pain.
2. Do not eat or drink from the work area (to avoid accidental ingestion).
3. Familiarize yourself with substances that are dangerous.
4. Hands should be always kept clean during work.
5. Wash your hands thoroughly after working with baby oil, soap, and water,
EQUIPMENT
Fire- A process in which substances combine chemically with oxygen from
the air and typically give out bright light, heat, and smoke; combustion or
buming.
Fire-Fiqhtinq equipment- Firefighting equipment is equipment designed to
extinguish fires or protect the userfrom fire. It may be used by trainedfire
fighters, untrained users at the scene of afire, or built into a building's
infrastructure (such as a sprinkler system). Firefighting equipment includes
not onlyfire hoses andfire extinguishers but also fire-resistant protective
clothing, fire-resistant gloves, respirators, and communication equipment.
Types of Fire-Fiqhtinq equipment:
Extinquishers — using water, dry chemical powder, foam, carbon dioxide, or
other substances
Fire fighter's qear —fire resistant outer suit, inner lining suit, inner and
outer gloves, woolen socks, fire resistant
shoes, helmet (with or without headlight),
communication system, and breathing
apparatus.
Installed firefiqhtinq system — main water supply network, hydrant,
sprinkler (automatic or manual), emergency fuel and electric cut off system,
portable generators, and portable pumps
Communic a — walkie-
talkie, radio, broadcasts, landline telephone, sound powered telephone, cell
or mobile phone, and voice pipe.
Fire detection and alarm systems — smoke, frame, spark detectors,
local, centralized automatic, semi-automatic, and manual fire alarm
systems.
Ad&euable Fire Alarm
Fire Hoses: A fire hose (or firehose) is a high-pressure hose that carries
water or other fire retardant (such as foam) to a fire to extinguish it.
Outdoors, it attaches either to a fire engine, fire hydrant, or a portable fire
pump.
Fire Bucket: A fire bucket is a bucket filled with water or sand which is
used to prevent or extinguish fires.
Flamzorb: Flamezorb is a revolutionary substitute for sand and can be
used on flammable liquid spills. It is made with a chemical compound
which is non-toxic and has fire retardant properties.
