UMUX provides comprehensive multi-service capabilities allowing operators of public and private telecommunication networks the provision of highly protable and up to date services with only one compact Next Generation multi-service access system.
Compact and Multi-Service UMUX combines carrier-grade multi-service delivery over copper and optical bre with trafc multiplexing and aggregation functions within a single network element. The services offered range from traditional telephony, broadband
Internet access and private circuits to new services such as Ethernet Private Lines and Voice over Packet. Built-in SDH, Gigabit Ethernet and ATM functionality for trafc backhaul can make it an integral part of any transport network.
The Subracks UMUX subracks provide the perfect solution for all applications and locations. Size and power supply are optimised to the respective application. All subracks have the same modular and exible system architecture. All subracks can be installed in 19 and ETSI racks.
UMUX 1500 UMUX 1500 is the largest subrack from the UMUX system family. Despite its large number of slots technology is bundled on a small space. It is designed for installation in a central ofce or a subscriber access node. The UMUX 1500 with a hight of 8 HU has 21 slots and houses redundant central controller cards and power supplies thus providing maximum failure safety. It supports max. 480 POTS or 112 ISDN-BA subscribers and provides a cross connect capacity of 128 x 2 Mbps as a digital 1/0and 1/1 cross connect system.
UMUX 1200 UMUX 1200 is the smaller version of UMUX 1500. The UMUX 1200 is perfect for installation in subscriber access nodes in apartment buildings or for remote nodes in rural areas. It can be employed as well for connection of mobile networks (e. g. GSM, UMTS). With its 4 HU it provides 8 slots. The system supports up to 150 POTS or 40 ISDN-BA subscribers. The UMUX 1200 provides a cross connect capacity of 48 x 2 Mbps. In addition to the DC supply the UMUX 1200 can be equipped with an AC power supply adapter and is ready for operation with a simple mains socket. UMUX 1200 is designed for either vertical as well as horizontal installation.
