THE CREED OF THE NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER
No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned Officer, a leader of
soldiers. As a Noncommissioned Officer, I realize that I am a member of a time honored
corps, which is known as “The Backbone of the Army”. I am proud of the Corps of
Noncommissioned Officers and will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit
upon the Corps, the Military Service and my country regardless of the situation in which
I find myself. I will not use my grade or position to attain pleasure, profit, or personal
safety.
Competence is my watchword. My two basic responsibilities will always be uppermost in
my mind—accomplishment of my mission and the welfare of my soldiers. I will strive to

Noncommissioned Officer. I will fulfill my responsibilities inherent in that role. All soldiers

How is a Soldier enrolled into the Army Body Composition Program (ABCP)?

health care professionals, be provided exercise guidance by the master fitness trainer
or unit fitness NCO, be counseled and flagged by Commander.
What are the actions, counseling’s, and evaluations required:
Notification Counseling (3 working days to FLAG, 2 working days to counsel and enroll
the Soldier), Soldiers must be informed they are flagged, non-promotable, must meet
with health care provider and dietitian within 30 days, complete a Soldier Action Plan,

ARMY SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION & RESPONSE PROGRAM
ASAP Purpose:
Reinforces the Army's commitment to eliminate incidents of sexual assault through a
comprehensive policy that centers on awareness and prevention, training and
education, victim advocacy, response, reporting and accountability.
ASAP Goals:
Create a climate that minimizes sexual assault incidents; that encourages victims to
report incidents without fear. Establish prevention training and awareness programs.
Ensure leaders understand their roles and responsibilities.
DEFINE SEXUAL ASSAULT:
A crime with intentional sexual contact, characterized by use of force, physical threat or
abuse of authority or when the victim does not or cannot consent.
Sexual Assault includes what acts: Rape, non-consensual sodomy; indecent assault, or
attempts to commit these acts.
ARMY's Policy:
Sexual assault is a crime and has no place in the Army. It degrades mission readiness
by devastating the Army's ability to work as a team. Every Soldier who is aware of an
assault should report immediately incidents. All victims will be treated fairly with dignity
and respect. All reports will be treated seriously. Applies on and off post, during duty and
non-duty hours.
Where can crimes be reported:
Chain of Command; Hospital, Military Police; Chaplains, Social Services, Family
Advocacy, Legal.
Rights of Victims:
Be treated with fairness, dignity and respect. Right to protection and to be notified of
court proceedings. Right to be present and to speak to Government attorney. Right to
seek restitution and information regarding conviction, sentencing, imprisonment and
release of the offender.
