My Career Goals
I am a United States Navy Veteran. While I was in the Navy I worked as a Cryptological
Intelligence Technician at the NSA. I very much enjoyed the work. I had many tasks including,
supervising, and operating highly sophisticated classified computer systems to complete
complex collection, processing and forwarding of critical data. As I progress through my
coursework, the role that intrigues me is the job of a Systems Administrator. The role of the
Sysadmin is to maintain, configure and dependably operate computer systems including servers.
I would really like to work in on servers and /or supercomputers in a data center. I am also
interested in the role of Cyber Security Analysts. At the conclusion of my coursework at CCBC
combined with the qualifications and degrees I have previously obtained, I should have the
qualifications needed to work in this field. It is my goal to work for preferably a government
entity as a Systems Administrator or Cyber Security Analyst or some role that possibly combines
the two. I understand that I will have to pay some dues before I get to where I want to be, but I
am looking for to all that I will learn along the way. I am also hoping secure an internship during
this process.
