Daily Lesson Log| Grade 11: General Mathematics

CHRISTIAN RANZEL A. EXCHAURE | Subject Teacher
October, 2022| Date
General Mathematics: | Topic
1st | Quarter

I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the
objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons exercises and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are
assessed using Formative Assessment Strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of
content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons.
Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of functions, rational functions, inverse
functions, exponential functions, and logarithmic functions. Also, the key concepts of simple
and compound interests, and simple and general annuities. Understand the basic concepts of
stocks and bonds, the basic concepts of business and consumer loans and the basic concepts of
business and consumer loans. Understand the key concepts of propositional logic; syllogisms
and fallacies as well as the key methods of proof and disproof.

B. Performance Standards The learner is able to accurately construct mathematical models to represent real-life situations
using function, accurately formulate and solve real-life problems involving rational functions.
Apply the concepts of inverse functions, exponential functions, and logarithmic functions to
formulate and solve real-life problems with precision and accuracy. Investigate, analyze and solve
problems involving simple and compound interests and simple and general annuities using
appropriate business and financial instruments. Use appropriate financial instruments involving
stocks and bonds in formulating conclusions and making decisions. Decide wisely on the
appropriateness of business or consumer loan and its proper utilization. Judiciously apply logic in
real-life arguments and appropriately apply a method of proof and disproof in real-life situations.
C. Learning Competencies/ Represents real-life situations using rational functions. M11GM-Ib-1
Objectives (Write the LC code a. Define Polynomial functions
for each) b. Illustrate Real-life situations that can be modeled by rational functions
c. Solve a polynomial function
d. develop patience and perseverance in solving problems using Rational Functions
II. CONTENT Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to
teach in the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.
Accurately formulate and solve real-life problems involving rational functions .
III. LEARNING RESOURCES List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s
interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is mix of concrete and manipulative
materials as well as paper based materials. Hands on learning promotes concept development.

IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread the activities appropriately so that the
students will be learned well. Always be guided by the demonstration of learning by the students
which you can enter from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by
providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their
learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life
experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

(d) The student holding the flashlight goes to various distances away from the mirror,
while making sure that the flashlight is held at the same height throughout the
experiment. At each location, the student measures the following distances, in
centimeters.
x = the distance from the wall to the flashlight
y = the height of the reection on the wall

VI. REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this
week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your
instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant
questions.

A. No of learners who earned 80 % in the

evaluation
B. No. of learners who require additional
activities for remediation who
scored below 80 %.
C. Did the remedial lessons work? No.
of learners who have caught up with
lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue
to require remediation.
E. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well? Why did these work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor can
help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized materials
did I used/ discover which I wish to
share with other teachers?
