C:"Okay, so, we have been divorced for 7 that are affecting the
years. I... All the debt has finally caught up. client still.
We had been married for ten years prior to
that. I was 13 when we met and I got
married a year later at 14. And I use to live
in Colorado, and then we not live here in
NC. Well, I now live here because I do not
have a means of going back home. And it
was a nasty divorce. Not amicable in any
sort of way. I could not afford an attorney. I
could not afford to get my half of
everything. Even though we had been
married for so long. So, yeah."
S:"And, what was the reason for the
 divorce?"
C:*chuckles*"So, basically, uh, he had this
really pretty cousin. And she put a move on
me one day and I did not reject. We started
seeing each other. Uh, I hate to say 'behind
his back' that makes me sound so bad, but
behind his back. About 6 years into our
relationship. It had been going on since we
got a divorce. I knew it was wrong but he
didn't give me any attention. I was more of
his friend than his wife. It just wasn't
working and she was working. so, yeah.
Then he found out and he was very upset
 with me."
S:"Alright, well, I appreciate you telling me
that. I can see how your loneliness kind of
led you to make these decisions. But I don't
want you, you had said like, 'this is so
embarrassing,' I don't want you to feel
embarrassed. We can talk about anything,
 no judgement from me."

do have a line of credit, however, it is in the

he left it in my name."

 renting?"

three bedrooms, two bathroom house. I
don't really need that much space. It is
incredibly hard for me to find a realtor, so
that whatever money i do make off the
house I can pay off my debt. But, for the
most part, he did not leave me with
anything. All of our joint savings, he took.
And since I could not really fight it, he just
 took it. Mhm."

C:"Kind of a mix of both. It was a lot, it was
my fault. The people I did ask, I do know a
few lawyers, who are friends with my
husband, of course. They refused to help
me because they are my husbands friends.
So it was just a lot of closed doors, for me.
And then when I really truly wanted one, I
 could not afford one."
S:" Gotcha.. So this divorce was because of
a relationship with his cousin. And I just
want to clarify, do you think that you are
feeling guilt because of this that might be
going over into other aspects of your life?"
 C:"I think so..."
