Enforcing and Expanding dominion
1 Chron 4:10
Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and
enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep
me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. AMP
talk about enforce and expand according to Gen 1
enforce means make to happen or make to become a reality, expand means make
to increase/ become abundant. Be fruitful and multiply
The prayer of Jabez from the passage we just read is a model prayer to enforce
and expand dominion
the passage started with jabez cried out to God” and ended with ”and God granted
his request”
I speak to you today as your cry will go up to heaven you’re your request will be
granted!
When your dependence on God is approved, your deliverance is guaranteed!
“for they that put their trust in him shall never be disappointed”
Jabez: The head of a family of Judah, noted for his "honorable" character,
But, the name Jabez means affliction, it means sorrow maker
May be like Jabez, the circumstances around your life, speaks of sorrows
but I came to degree, the end of your affliction has come!
Jabez, the son of sorrow, by prayerful faith inherited joy in the end
Jabez knew he was created and given the mandate to rule, but he came to
discover that heaven's expectation were not his realities
So he had to send back signals to heaven that something is wrong, and heaven
responded
The turning point in Jabez handicapped life came when he cried out to the God
of Israel
Your prayers this morning will create a turning point in your life!
In a bit to enforce his honorable status, in a bit to expand his dominion, Jabez
made 3 strategic request
# He asked for Empowerment
“that You would bless me”
The word bless means empowerment to proper, so he asked for power to prosper
beyond his limitation, power to go pass certain limits impose on him from birth
Now, power is the superimposition of strange influence to change a condition,
location and situation in favour of the demonstrator. Where there is power,
conditions, situation can be changed!
When you’re coming from a background with certain kind of limitations, you’re
living a life with certain kind of limitations , then you must ask God to empower
you to go pass those limitations
#He asked for presence
and that Your hand might be with me
One thing you must know is that his presence will preserve his empowerment in
you
John 15:4-5
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it
abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the

same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. KJV
It takes connection to God to manifest dominion
when you say your hand might be with me, his hand is symbolic of his
presence
#He asked for protection from evil
And You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me!
Child of God evil hurts! Evil can puncture expectations and create limitations
whether it's evil from you or from others
Obviously Jabez asked for protection from external evil powers and harm
But I’m going to apply it to personal evils
When you life exhibit evil tendencies, satanic tendencies then you will be limited
Nothing limits a people like their evil actions and attitude
Iniquity facilitates captivity.
Man’s most intimate and strongest limitations are his internal evils
Righteousness exalted a nation but sin is a reproach to any people

INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT INTO YOUR LIFE
#“O Precious Holy Spirit come into my life today! I welcome You in to my spirit to be Your
temple. Help me to be Holy even as You are Holy! O Holy Spirit take out the stony heart
and replace it with Your heart. A heart of flesh. Help me O Holy Spirit to yield and obey
instantly to your unction today that you may manifest instantly to the Glory of God the
Father!”
#Oh God keep me from the way of evil, break every sinful tendency and habit in
my life in the name of Jesus!
one of the requirement of our dominion mandate is to be fruitful, it means to be
produce results, expected outcomes (education, marital, financial
#Father, Please empower me to be fruitful and to multiply, in every good work and
expectations, in The Mighty Name of Jesus Amen
#Oh God, bless me to excel, to prosper beyond every geographic limitation,
beyond any genetical limitation , and be a blessing to my generation and to your
kingdom
#Lord, open my spiritual eyes to see the activities of principalities and be ahead of them in
Jesus name. Therefore, Every power of darkness fighting my destiny is destroyed now in
Jesus name. I take charge of my life now in Jesus name.
