Let’s do the following activity
1) What school activities do you feel anxious or worried about? How
did you cope with that feeling?
Well, as the days go by… For me the activities makes me feel
anxious is when about teamwork or cooperating with others
example group activities I feel anxious about it cause I’m really weak
when talking about socialization cause I used to be alone when I was
grade 2 cause some of my classmates used to bully me back then so I
divided myself from others to avoid that type of socialization
2) How does stress affect your studies?
Stress affects my studies in the way that I can’t think straight and
keep me out of my focus on the lecture, lesson or the entire exam
which is not great for me.
3) What are the causes of stress among teenagers? Discuss them
briefly.
School demands and frustrations.
Negative thoughts or feelings about themselves.
Changes in their bodies.
Problems with friends and/or peers at school.
Unsafe living environment/neighborhood.
Separation or divorce of parents.
Chronic illness or severe problems in the family.
Some teens become overloaded with stress. When this happens, it can
lead to anxiety, withdrawal, aggression, physical illness, or poor coping
skills such as drug and/or alcohol use.
When we perceive a situation as difficult or painful, changes occur in
our minds and bodies to prepare us to respond to danger. This “fight,
flight, or freeze” response includes faster heart and breathing rate,
increased blood to muscles of arms and legs, cold or clammy hands and
feet, upset stomach and/or a sense of dread.
The same mechanism that turns on the stress response can turn it off.
As soon as we decide that a situation is no longer dangerous, changes
can occur in our minds and bodies to help us relax and calm down. This
“relaxation response” includes decreased heart and breathing rate and
a sense of well-being. Teens that develop a “relaxation response” and
other stress management skills feel less helpless and have more choices
when responding to stress.
4) How did you effectively handle or cope from stress?
Well, I handle my stress or cope it just by getting in my comfort zone or
things makes me relax or just for short things that makes me happy or
my stress relieve habits.
Answer the following questions succinctly.
1) What causes Kristine’s poor academic performance for the second
quarter of the academic year?
Kristine got her poor performance or academic scores for the second
quarter cause she just her mother and she also need to take for her
younger siblings. Just losing someone important to your life is
enough to make such changes to the teenager and also this can also
give her stress which is a big deal to the teenager and just to think of
that she needs to take care of her younger siblings which makes it
bigger and harder for her to handle.
2) If you were Kristine’s classmate and friend, what would you do to
comfort and help her out of misery?
Well, the best thing for me to do for her to make her better or to
help her out of her misery is be their for her and help her to take
care of her younger siblings because if I try to do something about
her mothers death maybe it can make it worse so for me the best
thing to do is help her to take care of younger siblings. Also, I think
she should know how to let things go by herself she should discover
by herself that if she continues to be in her misery what would her
mother feel for her. She should know that every people comes and
leave and we can’t do anything about it all we can do is to be happy
for them and hope them have peace for the rest of their lives.
Try to answer the following questions succinctly.
1) What would you recommend or suggest to cope with stress?
Feeling emotional and nervous or having trouble sleeping and
eating can all be normal reactions to stress. Here are some
healthy ways you can deal with stress:
Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories,
including those on social media. It’s good to be informed but hearing
about the traumatic event constantly can be upsetting. Consider
limiting news to just a couple of times a day and disconnecting from
phone, tv, and computer screens for a while.
Take care of yourself. Eat healthy, exercise, get plenty of sleep, and
give yourself a break if you feel stressed out.
Take care of your body.
Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate external icon.
Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
Exercise regularly.
Get plenty of sleep.
Avoid excessive alcohol, tobacco, and substance use.
Continue with routine preventive measures (such as vaccinations,
cancer screenings, etc.) as recommended by your healthcare
provider.
Get vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when available.
Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
Talk to others. Share your problems and how you are feeling and
coping with a parent, friend, counselor, doctor, or pastor.
Connect with others. Talk with people external icon you trust about
your concerns and how you are feeling.
Connect with your community- or faith-based organizations. If social
distancing measures are in place, try connecting online, through social
media, or by phone or mail.
Avoid drugs and alcohol. These may seem to help, but they can create
additional problems and increase the stress you are already feeling.
Recognize when you need more help. If problems continue or you are
thinking about suicide, talk to a psychologist, social worker, or
professional counselor.
2) How would you react to this statement by Lou Holtz: “It’s not the
load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it”?
The statement is very educational, because you can learn that most
things can't hurt you if you can properly handle them.
Let’s check what you have learned!

Mark calculates and solves mathematical problems quickly and
accurately. In fact, he was the school’s representative in the Division
Level Math Olympiad in 2019 and bagged the First Place in the Senior
High School category.
Subsequently, he portrays well as an actor in a school’s theatrical
presentation and obtained a three-in-all turns in the blind audition at
ABS-CBN in 2019 when he rendered an amazing Pinoy version of
“Dance with my
Father”.
Indeed, Mark is a mathematician and an artist.
1) How will you classify Mark? Is he more of a left or right-brained
student? Why?
Mark is more of a left brained student for me as he is good in math and
in theater presentation. logic and verbal skills are often associated with
the left side of brain, making mark a left brained student.
2) Which functions do the right-handed differ from that of the
left-handed students or individuals? Explain briefly.
Scientists have found a distinct difference between the brains of right-
handed people and those of left- and mixed-handed people. ... Studies,
mainly in right-handed people, suggest that the left side of the brain
controls language and analytic functions, while the Right Side controls
spatial and nonverbal processes. Brain lateralization refers to the fact
that the left and right sides of the brain are not the same. The two sides
differ in their anatomy, and also in what they do. ... Left-handers are
distinct from right-handers in that they tend to have less lateralization
in the brain.
3) What was the result of your handedness test? If you are a left-
handed, how will you develop the functions and other
specialized skills in your right hemisphere to be an
ambidextrous? Draw your personal plan to enhance your brain
functions.
Being left or right handed doesn't actually mean that your brain is of
a specific type and that you only have certain skills. It's a common
misconception. It's just a generalization. Actually, you can develop
whatever skills you want to develop with proper training which hand
you use has nothing to do with it. It's just that using a certain hand
makes certain parts of our brain more dominant.it may be difficult to
develop certain skills but proper dedication is all you need.

Discuss your answers with your classmates and teachers during the
face-to-face or online conferences or discussions.
1. Are you comfortable with the New Normal Education Set-up? If
yes/no, why?
No, cause I find it really hard to communicate and hard to give the
requirements that are required in the Digital Modular because it’s a
new type of learning for me but even though it also helps me too
even I’m new to the Digital Modular or Online Class because it helps
me to let myself have a sense of knowledge that I’m not used to
when there’s no pandemic. All that I want to say is just because of
the pandemic I got a sense of knowledge like example when I was in
Grade 8 I’m used to teacher explaining me the subjects but now I can
understand the subject or lesson just by analyzing it but I also got
sometimes like it’s really hard for me to understand the lesson
2. How do you develop rapport?
Rapport forms the basis of meaningful, close and harmonious
relationships between people. It's the sense of connection that you
get when you meet someone you like and trust, and whose point of
view you understand. It's the bond that forms when you discover
that you share one another's values and priorities in life.
1. Check Your Appearance
2. Remember the Basics
3. Find Common Ground
4. Create Shared Experiences
5. Be Empathic
6. Mirror and Match
3. How does my background affect who I am today?
Well, for me it will affect me for who am I today because some
people uses my background to make a bad feedback or issues about
me that will really affect my name today.
4. What weaknesses and worries do I have in my relationship with
myself and my significant others? Well, as a student who is going
through a tough new educational learning system, you must be
hardly dealing with your anxiety and how you are going to
perform well in class. Since it is a fact that not everyone can have
an access to the online classes because of lack of internet and
gadgets, some may be losing their motivation and perseverance
to learn.
During these hard times, you may lose your confidence and trust
to your capabilities and drive. You may feel disheartened caused
by the crisis. Because of your failing relationship with yourself,
your relationship with your significant others will surely be
affected.
5. What do I like about myself? What do I like about people?
Well, what I like to myself is I’m usually a friendly person but I
don’t really try that hard to make friends to others. I'm not that
glad with being socially awkward, though. I find it hard to
socialize. And thank goodness we have online classes now
because I probably would've sat alone on that one corner of the
classroom if we had face to face classes. As for the people. I like
those who I'm comfortable with. The ones that are approachable
because I dislike the feeling of being a bother, nobody wants to
feel like that, it's actually terrible. You know, like, when you feel
as if you don't belong in there. It's really, really, really terrible to
feel left out because it'll most likely affect myself throughout the
whole year just like what might have happened to me if it weren't
for online classes. I don't even know please try to understand
what I mean.
1. What is meant by emotional awareness?
Emotional awareness means knowing when feelings are present
in ourselves and others. It is closely related to emotional literacy,
which means being able to label feelings with specific feeling
words. At its highest level it means being able to predict feelings
in advance.
2. Why do we need to understand how other people feel about
us, about the situations and about the things around them?
Making Sense of Reactions
The skill of understanding others helps us predict what people
might feel in a certain situation, but it also allows us to make
sense of how people react.
For example:
In homeroom at 8 a.m., your friend is smiling, friendly, and full of
energy. Later that afternoon, he looks upset, almost like he might
cry. Which explanation is your best guess for what might have
happened between these two times?
A. He had a fight with his girlfriend at lunch, and now they're not
talking.
B. He passed the 4th period algebra exam.
C. He just found out he didn't make the final cut for varsity
basketball.
D. The chemistry teacher assigned a lot of homework.
E. He probably just had a bad day.
You likely ruled out option B instantly: Emotional intelligence tells
you that your friend's reaction looks more like failing an exam
than passing. If your friend had a bad day or a lot of homework
(options D or E), he might seem stressed out, tired, or worn down
— but he probably wouldn't be on the verge of tears. Ruling out
those options lets you zero in on what's most likely to be
upsetting your friend: options A or C.
People who are skilled at understanding others imagine another
person's feelings ("I think he'll feel awful if I say that to him").
They are able to relate to how that person reacts to things ("Oh, I
completely get why she got angry like that. No wonder!").
3. Why do we manage our own emotions and that of others?
For me it’s because we don’t want others to have some bad blood
to me that’s why I’m managing their emotions by thinking like if I
do something about a friend how will it affect him/her. Also, the
ability to realize, readily accept, as well as successfully control
feelings in oneself (and sometimes others) is known as the
emotion management skill. ... This is important because the
change in your thoughts and feelings is what helps change your
emotions, preventing from reactive outbursts.
My Freedom Wall
Well, I don’t have any things in my mind so I don’t have
really an idea to what things should I put in these Freedom
Wall but if would put something it will maybe my thought’s
about these pandemic cause many people have really
affected by the pandemic and commonly it’s those people
who don’t have internet connection and those who don’t
have gadgets are really affected so I just want to share the
others my thoughts cause for others the new normal is really
a big problem cause people that have talent or knowledge
cant show their talent or their knowledge cause their just
poor. Also even though we have printed modular some
people have really give up on their dreams because they cant
really follow the new normal so what is the plan of the
government really for us students who have dreams to
accomplish or to achieve.
1. How do you feel about writing on your freedom wall? Why?
Happy because all of my thoughts and what I feel for us students
is released or I finally let others know what I’m really thinking.
2. If there is something you would like to write again. What would
that be and why?
No, I don’t have any thoughts or ideas to add to the freedom wall
1. Discuss the different signs of stress.
Stress is a normal human reaction that happens to everyone. In
fact, the human body is designed to experience stress and react to
it. When you experience changes or challenges (stressors), your
body produces physical and mental responses. That’s stress.
Stress responses help your body adjust to new situations. Stress
can be positive, keeping us alert, motivated and ready to avoid
danger. For example, if you have an important test coming up, a
stress response might help your body work harder and stay awake
longer. But stress becomes a problem when stressors continue
without relief or periods of relaxation.
What happens to the body during stress?
The body’s autonomic nervous system controls your heart rate,
breathing, vision changes and more. Its built-in stress response,
the “fight-or-flight response,” helps the body face stressful
situations.
When a person has long-term (chronic) stress, continued
activation of the stress response causes wear and tear on the
body. Physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms develop.
Physical symptoms of stress include:
Aches and pains.
Chest pain or a feeling like your heart is racing.
Exhaustion or trouble sleeping.
Headaches, dizziness or shaking.
High blood pressure.
Muscle tension or jaw clenching.
Stomach or digestive problems.
Trouble having sex.
Weak immune system.
Stress can lead to emotional and mental symptoms like:
Anxiety or irritability.
Depression.
Panic attacks.
Sadness.
Often, people with chronic stress try to manage it with
unhealthy behaviors, including:
Drinking alcohol too much or too often.
Gambling.
Overeating or developing an eating disorder.
Participating compulsively in sex, shopping or internet
browsing.
Smoking.
Using drugs.
2. Are you a left or right-handed individual? How do you describe
yourself based on brain lateralization?
I’m obviously a right-handed. I don’t have any in mind to describe
in terms of being right-handed but if I would describe myself is I’m
really good shooter in terms in basketball and in terms of writing I
would say that my writing isn’t that bad when I’m not in a hurry.
3. How emotionally intelligent am I?
I’m really intelligent person but at least I know how to cooperate
to there even I’m a Loner also I know how to manage or how to
escalate or manage the emotion of others all I just want say I’m
not a intelligent person but in emotional its really a huge
difference.
Jake was dating with Trish for two years as a couple and they tend
to get to know each other well. The relationship was welcomed by
Trish’s parents and immediate relatives. However, everything has
changed when Trish’s childhood ex-boyfriend arrived from
Australia. Kristoff’s decision to continue his studies in a state
university in Cagayan de Oro City has affected the relationship.
Jake knew that Trish was still in love with Kristoff. Everything
turned up-side-down.
Jake has lost interest in school, he performed poorly in academic
and isolated himself from his groups and classmates. He was so
disintegrated. He was drinking alcohol, easily got angry at
anything without reasons, lost appetite, got confused and
irrational. Oftentimes, he was in trouble with Trish. Trish was hurt
badly and wanted to get out from the situation.
1. As a friend and classmate, how will you comfort Jake?
Well, it’s to talk to Jake man to man cause girls love is really a
big deal. Also, why would he be mad just because Trish ex-
boyfriend comes to their relationship, he should know that just
because Kristoff goes to Cagayan De Oro where they live, he’s
just going change. It’s not enough reason to give up to their
relationship if he really loves Trish he should not be affected
because he is the one that Trish have relationship. Also, if she
really is still in love with Kristoff then leave her he should know
that if Trish wants to continue your relationship she should
forget Kristoff but if not he should leave her.
2. If you were Jake, how will you cope with the predicament he
was experiencing with?
It’s simple I’m going to leave Trish alone because I don’t need a
woman that have any feelings for others. For short I don’t need
a woman like Trish who have feelings for Kristoff.
3. Do you consider Jake an emotionally immature person? Why?
Yes, just because Trish ex-boyfriend come Jake mentally
changed

provided below
I believe that the destructive nature of society that now
threatens the existence of the entire human world has much
to do with human intelligence. The way to overcome all
human suffering-that also is through human intelligence
For me, the meaning of this is because of Human Intelligence the
Nature is in danger and by those humans also will be affected.
Why human intelligence will destroy nature? Its because by the
Human Intelligence, cars and factory are made and by those
human creation it creates a smoke that affects the Earth’s
Atmosphere that also affects trees. Also, human creation are
made by woods which comes from trees but think it through
many people cut trees for wood but don’t replace the cut wood
by any sapling so think what if the trees are gone who will change
the carbon dioxide to oxygen also who will hold the ground when
there’s movement by the earths mantle. It’s, none because the
trees are gone which will cause a landslide. But there’s a solution
and it’s also human intelligence because why make a car that uses
fuel that causes smoke if we can create a electric car. All I just say
is by our human intelligence why we create a human made things
that don’t have any effects on our nature
