In 350-500 words, discuss your realizations about content and pedagogical skills. How do you feel
about these skills as requisite to becoming professional teachers? What should you do in order to
acquire these skills?

My own realization about Pedagogical content knowledge is important in the teaching and
learning process because it involves the teacher's talents in imparting the subject matter's conceptual
approach, relational understanding, and adaptive reasoning. On a regular basis, sports days and school
trips, birthdays, holidays, and the rare completely unforeseen occurrence disturb the schedule. It's a
fantastic career for people who don't want to sit at a desk all day. An excellent teacher can literally
change a child's life. Financial assistance while you study: Some in-demand disciplines may be
eligible for bursaries that equate to a high salary while you study. Putting your degree to good use:
Outside of academics, teaching is one of the few professions where you can put everything you
learned in school to good use. Decent salary: Teaching will never make you a millionaire, but if you
excel and take on responsibility you can build up to a salary of 50,000 or even more. Some teachers
are loud and energetic, others quiet and dedicated, and all can make a difference in their own way. A
huge part of teaching is communicating information. It might be verbal, written, or via any other route
from practical demonstrations to artistic interpretation – whatever gets your point across. People learn
at all different rates. If you have to explain something seven times in seven different ways before it
sticks, that’s just part of the job. And when faced with challenging behaviors, you need to stay calm
and patient and not lose your temper. People learn best when they’re doing something fun and
interesting. It’s up to you to be creative in your approach, finding novel and enjoyable ways for your
students to learn. Your enthusiasm is infectious. If you love your subject and your job, you’ll be able
to engage the people you teach. Children can smell fear… no, just kidding. Confidence helps you
when you’re standing up and directing a class, whether your students are kids or adults. A lot of
education sector jobs involve public speaking, so confidence is a must. There’s no denying that
teaching can be tough at times. If you’re dedicated to helping your students succeed, you’ll be able to
keep up your energy levels and avoid getting discouraged. Especially in secondary schools, this can
be a big part of the job. If you can defuse tense situations before they explode, you be able to handle it
when teenagers upset each other or test your authority.

BACHELOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Paz, Christian James P.

DAY 1 (MARCH 15, 2022 8:00am-9:20am)

First, he introduced himself and we observers from BPEd. he also said that his lesson is
1 week by every 2 components. So, the first lesson he discussed was hiking an which means,
taking a long walk in the country side or in the mountain and usually for pleasure or for
exercise. and hiking is said to be walking for recreational purposes. and he explained his
lesson properly and clearly. And the teacher also said that hiking is for kanyak scape. And
then ma’am asked who loves or has experienced hiking. And then she explained the meaning
of hiking that is clean and of course clear to understand. And then she shared her experience
with hiking. After that she discuss the benefits of hiking. And she discusses also the safe
hiking tips. And then after that discussion she shared again about her experience she had
about hiking, what they had been and what they had experienced and how much fun it was
and how difficult it was and they also experienced fear of course. Also discuss the physical
Readiness and the other important guidelines before and during hiking.

I learned a lot of things about the way she discusses her lesson. I learned that you need
to share your experience if ever you have to motivate your student and not about only the
way you present also you need to be funny sometimes to make your class happy and
enjoyable.

DAY 2 (MARCH 16, 2022 12:30pm-1:10pm)

First of all, the teacher greets the class and saying some remanding. And the lesson they said
last meetings is all about creational activities. And then the lesson for today is all about first aiding,
and she discussed what will happen to us if incase we get bitten by a snake or have an accident. And
then the next that she discusses is all about CPR or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and ma'am said
that you need to have a CPR or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation if the victims are unconscious. And
then she discusses about the two types of CPR or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in ADULTS and for
the INFANT. So, the infant should not be too heavy to push because it is not yet fully developed and
also use a two or three finger to push the children lightly while the adults also have enough capacity
and enough bone power and strong so that two are needed. the hand is used to push on the patient's
chest. And also, Ma'am discusses, you need to consider the 3's which is the CHECK, CALL, and
CARE. And she also tells that if the victims are a girl you must need to have a consent to the relatives
or friends to not be called harassment. And then the second topic which is the CHOKING like in the
CPR she also discusses how you doing for adults and infant because they do not same process to
rescue in suffering Chocking. And then for the activity is posted in the google classroom which is
performance task about CPR or proper executing CPR or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

I learned that you need to be patience to your student, and you need to be friendly however your
student not listened to your class. And I learned a lot about preparing the topic and proper execute of
your topic. So, I’m going to imitate the strategy of the teacher that I am going to observe.

Read carefully and answer the following questions based on what you have observed in the class.

1. In your own opinion, how can the school’s learning environment be improved?
Developing an engaging and positive learning environment for learners, especially in a
particular course, is one of the most creative aspects of teaching. Typically, the focus is either
on the physical learning environments (institutional) like lecture theaters, classrooms, or labs;
or on different technologies that are used to develop online learning environments. Typically,
social, physical, psychological or cultural factors involved in a learning environment deeply
affect the learners’ learning capabilities. If the learning atmosphere is not conducive to
gaining new knowledge or skills, it will be hard for learners to remain engrossed or interested.

2. How does a fair learning environment affect the way children learn?
Several factors can affect learning ability, including seating, light, noise, and even color.
Students who study in a positive learning environment have been shown to be more
motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall learning ability.

3. How does the teacher encourage the students to participate actively in class?
re some of the students in your class reluctant to answer questions or participate in class
activities? Increasing student participation can have a positive effect on your classroom

learning environment and can help keep students engaged and focused on what they're
learning.
 Assess student's prior knowledge and tailor your lessons to build on what students already
know.
 Allow for student collaboration
 Use the jigsaw strategy
 Give students a task during your lessons
 Give student a choice in how they learn
 Be sure to check out the Teacher Tools category in the Elementary section of our website
for materials and resources you can utilize in increasing student participation.

4. Does the teacher support purposive learning? If yeas, how? If no, how can the teacher
support purposive learning?
I used to neglect to explain lesson aims at the beginning of the class. When I developed the
habit of displaying aims on the board, I noticed that students were more focused on the
learning process. Consequently, their participation improved.
 Marking the steps of the lesson and referring to them as the class progresses helps
learners:
 keep track of the lesson stages
 clearly see the connection between what they are doing in class and what they are
supposed to learn
 know exactly what is expected of them, reducing anxiety
 self-monitor their progress
 play a more active part in the lesson flow
 Help learners visualize lesson aims with an image

Instead of writing my lesson aims on the board, I sometimes use an image. This can be a road,
mountain or ladder as a metaphor for the flow of the lesson. An image instead of a list can help
learners visualize their path. It also makes a lesson more memorable and engaging.

5. What kind of classroom management does the teacher practice? Why?

There are four styles of classroom management: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and
indulgent. They range from the teacher having very strong control and less student
involvement to the teacher having less control and more student involvement.

6. If you were the teacher, what management style would best maximize students’ learning?
The authoritative approach is the best form of classroom management style because it is the
one most closely associated with appropriate student behaviors.

Reflection:

Complete the following statements.

1. I realize that:
I realized that it is important to make your students laugh so that they will be active in your
class and they will enjoy listening to your class more. And I realized that you should also
share your experience about the lesson so that they can focus more on listening to you and
your lesson. And based on my observation, they also become more active when you ask what
their experience was about the topic. for them to be active and to participate in class.
2. I believe that:
I believe that the children also need sharing in class so that they are not bored especially now
in the online class, there are students of yours who are not listening, they are off cam, they
have but they are not in front of the class. And I believe they can learn more when there is a
mixture of fun and sharing about experience about the lesson
3. I feel that:
I feel that it's fun to teach when you love what you do. I also feel that you can see the smiles
and laughter in the children when their teacher shares experiences about the things they did.
4. When it is my time to become a teacher, I will:
When it's time to be a teacher, I will do my best to teach my students and they will never tire
of listening to me every time I discuss and never tire of sharing my experiences with things
about the topic or mine. lesson. And when I become a teacher as well, I hope no one will be

DAY 3 (MARCH 22, 2022 8:00am-9:20am)

First Ma'am took a quiz and she used apps for the quiz. (Joinmyquiz.com) and the link for the
quiz is quizizz.com. And this quiz is the 1st quiz in P.E says Teacher. And you can easily see what
part they are in the test or whether they are done or not. and here you can also see how many tested
and did not enter. And of course, the quiz has time to avoid copying the answers. And you can easily
check it because you can see if it is correct or wrong. And then before the test the teacher starts her
lesson which is the BIKING and biking as recreational activity and it is the use for transportation,

I learned a lot of things this observation like in giving quizzes. I learned that this App will be
easy and hassle -free and easy to use and understand. Recommended this apps to easier and more
comfortable to give test to your student. And it is really important to sharing in class so that your class
is not boring and your students are also active in discussion and more participation in class lessons.

List down 10 strategies your cooperating teacher can use to address the individual differences
(linguistic, cultural, social-economic, and religious backgrounds) of the students.

Strategy 1: Appropriate use of Summative and Formative Assessments

Strategy 2: Teach the Vocabulary

Strategy 3: Explicit Instruction

Strategy 4: Effective Questioning Techniques

Strategy 5: Deliberate Practice

Strategy 6: Differentiation

Strategy 7: Reinforcing Effort/Providing Recognition

Strategy 8: Metacognition

Strategy 9: Personalized Learning

Strategy 10: Collaborative Learning

Processing:

Read carefully and answer the following questions.

7. How will you determine the strengths and weaknesses of your students?
 Start a general conversation. Ask how she is and if she's having any problems. These
questions may reveal strengths and weaknesses on their own. Ask the student where he excel.

8. Does the number of boys and girls affect the classroom instruction? How?
 Sometimes, because men participated more in an active learning course in science,
technology, engineering and math, while women reported lower perceptions of their scientific
abilities, were more aware of gender identity and more likely to feel judged based on gender,
a new Cornell-led study has found.

9. Is the mother tongue of most of the students affect the medium of instruction? How?
 Having to understand a foreign language while already going through other major changes
impedes the learning process. When the medium of instruction is the mother tongue or local
language, the child will learn concepts faster, adjust better, and show gains in learning
quicker.

10. Write a slogan to promote inclusive learning in the Philippines?

 Education is smart enough to change the human

mind positively!
11. In your own opinion, what is the best strategy to use when teaching a student with chronic
disorder?
 An important activity is for students to understand that each and every one of them has
strengths. These can come in the form of activities (ex. dance, hockey, math, etc.) and in the
form of character strengths. It is also important to share what these strengths could look like
in each student; strengths are not something that a student needs to be the best at but more
about personal skills, qualities, traits and virtues that students have developed. For a poster of
24-character strengths (developed by Dr. Martin Seligman) click here. This poster can be
used as a way for students to choose character strengths that may represent them. For middle
and high school students, I recommend watching the short film “The Butterfly Circus” as a
way to lead to deeper dialogue on the view that every person has strengths and it depends on
the perspective we choose.

12. Why it is necessary to create the IPED Curriculum Framework?

 IPEd Curriculum Framework seeks to provide guidance to schools and other education
programs, both public and private, as they engage with indigenous communities in localizing,
indigenizing, and enhancing the K to 12 Curriculum based on their respective educational and
social contexts.

Reflection:

Watch the film titled, Every Child is Special. After watching the movie, write a reflection about the
film.

Every Child is Special

(Title)

The movie ‘Every Child Is Special’ is about a certain child named Ishaan Awasthi. Ishaan is a
talented child. He can think outside the box and paint with such passion and creativity. But he was not
understood by his teachers as he was only thought of as a mischievous and a very naughty child. He
was often called an ‘idiot,’ ‘duffer,’ ‘lazy’ and ‘crazy’. Even his parents didn’t understand him.
Through the movie, I somehow understood now of how hard is the struggle of every people to be
understood by the society. I somehow think that maybe Ishaan is like my brother. It’s not that I can’t
understand my brother and that he is naughty or dumb or what, it’s just that as I can see it, he’s being
the center of attention of our parents by now; not in a good thing but in the opposite one. So, I
somehow think that I maybe I am one of those people who can’t understand him. Maybe I am one of
those people who never tried to listen to him? And as I can see to it right now, like in the movie, my
parents are planning for my brother to be transferred in another school in our province. Now I am
doubting whether it is a good thing or not? On the other hand, as to see in the teacher’s side, I am
feeling loving to them right now. For the teacher in the movie seemed so understanding and served as
the light from the child’s life in where only black and gray colors are present. It is touching how he
appreciates the child and led him to get up and to walk beside him. Through this, I remember my
English teacher before who’s the reason why I like writing right now; why I joined the school papers
last year, and why I am a publicist of a club in the school right now. It was all because of her. Because
she helped me train my own talent in writing and she believed in me saying that I can do it. And
because of that, she helped me mold the better me. But then through the movie, I also cried for a

reason in mind. The mother of Ishaan. As I am still at the first part of the movie, I cried. My heart is
breaking during that time as I was thinking of the moment when Ishaan was pleading for her mother
to let him stay and not to be separated from them. During that time, I cried because I can somehow
see myself in Ishaan’s position. I became like him before. I became like him who cried to my mother
to let me stay, yet just like Ishaan, I was left alone. Like Ishaan, I was rejected. Through the movie,
memories came back on my mind and broke my heart again. That was really heart-breaking that tears
just flowed right at the window of my eyes, even though I am trying my very best to prevent them. In
the end, they still end up flowing as my heart is aching.

Processing:

Read carefully and answer the following questions.

1. What developmentally appropriate learning principles and strategies are observed in class?
 create an active learning environment
 focus attention
 connect knowledge
 help students organize their knowledge
 provide timely feedback
 demand quality
 balance high expectations with student support
 enhance motivation to learn
 communicate your message in a variety of ways
 help students to productively manage their time.

2. What types of learning outcomes are emphasized in every lesson (knowledge, skills, and
values)?
 measurable statements that articulate at the beginning what students should know, be able to
do, or value as a result of taking a course or completing a program

3. How do the different learning programs support the development of the students?
 Use of learning goals helps programs think about curriculum. When learning goals are
defined, programs can determine the courses that address each goal. Curricular maps can
reveal desired and undesired redundancies, overlaps, and gaps in programs for majors.

4. How does the schools support and sustain a culture of excellence among teachers and other
staff?
 When you build a culture of excellence, you create organizational capacity and a structure
that empowers, focuses and engages employees. You shift from an ad-hoc problem-solving
culture to nurturing long-lasting mindset of change and growth.

5. What is the teaching and learning resources available in school? How these teaching and
learning resources utilized in teaching and learning?
 As well as being sources of knowledge for teachers, learning resources can be used by
teachers and teacher educators to co-construct knowledge as part of continuing professional
development. For example, observation sheets, feedback forms and action plans can be used
during classroom observation and mentoring.

Reflection:

In 350-500 words, discuss your realizations about curriculum and planning. Explain what are the
appropriate learning principles and how they can be used in designing effective instruction for various
types of students. How important the perfect alignment between learning competencies and learning
outcomes.

My personal and professional reflections of curriculum planning is that the process is both
creative and practical. For me, it was always important to be involved in designing a course that was

capable of transferring into practice. By this I mean, the course planning should not be a ‘pie in the
sky’ idea, that will never work in reality. The vital factors to keep in mind is what will be the benefits
to those who go on to successfully complete the course, and what the impact will be for the wider
community and society. Curriculum planning is hard work for every individual involved. If it is a
collaborative venture, there are lots of necessary debates and discussions about what should be in the
course/curriculum and why. This takes time, and the ability to negotiate and compromise on the final
draft of the course. Curriculum planning on your own, is less fraught, because all the ideas and
choices about the curriculum are yours! Although, any planned curricula will, normally, need to go
through an approval or validation panel before the course can be accepted to implement. Presenting
the course to a validating panel can be both exhilarating and soul destroying, depending on how
personal you take or react to comments and questions raised by members of the panel. As a member
of the presenting panel, it is necessary to be able to make a strong case for the curriculum to be
approved, and to be armed with ready answers to defend and promote the ideas embedded in it. The
best fun and challenges come when you implement the curriculum, and see how well it pans out.
Students and their learning needs are at the Centre of effective curriculum planning and assessment.
This principle enables teachers to devise experiences to develop lifelong learners and responsible
citizens. This dimension is underpinned by a shared set of values and clear purposes for teaching and
learning.

Designing curriculum, instruction, and assessments are steps teachers use to help them make sense of
the concepts they teach and helps drive instruction. These steps can take on many different forms and
drive a classroom in a plethora of ways.

13. What will happen if the teacher uses the same assessment strategy every day?
 If the teacher uses the same assessment strategy every day, his students will be
affected and favored and they will lose the appetite to enter the next class.

14. How does assessment improve students’ learning and the teacher’s performance?

 Assessment improves students' learning and teacher performance by giving them

a motivational introduction and also give them a reason why they want to attend
for example tell them that in the next meeting you will play related to the topic
that you are discuss last meeting to improve their performance.

15. If you are going to handle an advisory class, how are you going to make your class awarding
unique?
 If I were to give a chance to handle an advisory class and I am going to make the
class awarding unique. First, I am going to give them a motivational class and
give them a discipline and handle them by doing that they will not be favored
they want them to enter your class every day because you are good at teaching
and make them think that they are unique in other sections or class.
16. When is the right time to provide constructive feedback: during or after the students’
performance?
 The right time to provide constructive feedback is after the student’s performance
because if you give feedback after his/her performance to give them a motivation
talk or the student see the part or step for him to correct the things that should not
be done during the performance.
17. Why is Parent-Teacher Conference important?
 Parent-Teacher Conference important so you can share what their children are
doing in class and what should be changed in the child or what his status is in
class. So that they will not be surprised if their children's grades are high or low
when it comes to the card.
18. How will you communicate the failing grade of a student to the parent?

 By telling them concisely and relevantly about their performance in class and
what they are doing to make their grades low, but we will say that we will do to
increase their grades in a way that benefits students.
19. Interview your cooperating teacher. Ask him/her about his/her thoughts on the previous
school year and what he/she has done to improve this year.
 2020 was tough. So, with the education. It's never been easy for us to face
changes the way we never expect it. Blended learning. Flexible learning. Distance
learning. Modular. Online. Last school year really challenged the educators. But
no one gave up. Instead, we faced it with strong mind that we can overcome the
challenge. Last school years’ experience served as our basis in making this school
year a little bit easier to handle. We've mastered online platforms that would
make our work easier. We've learned how to make online quizzes, online
activities, online portfolio, and of course, online classes. And that makes this
school year easier for us. In general -- Embrace change.

Reflection:

In 350-500 words, discuss the importance of giving constructive feedback to improve the students’
learning. How does giving feedback help in the instructional decisions of the teacher? What is the
best practice in giving feedback that you think is appropriate in this 21 st century learners?

The importance of giving constructive feedback to improve the student’s learning. Feedback is
any response regarding a student’s performance or behavior. It can be verbal, written or gestural. The
purpose of feedback in the assessment and learning process is to improve a student’s performance -
not put a damper on it. It is essential that the process of providing feedback is a positive, or at least a
neutral, learning experience for the student. Negative feedback can discourage student effort and
achievement. Instructors have the distinct responsibility to nurture a student’s learning and to provide
feedback in such a manner that the student does not leave the classroom feeling defeated. Providing
feedback means giving students an explanation of what they are doing correctly and incorrectly, with
the focus of the feedback on what the students is doing right. It is most productive to a student’s
learning when they are provided with an explanation as to what is accurate and inaccurate about their
work. One technique is to use the concept of a “feedback sandwich” to guide your feedback:
Compliment, Correct, Compliment. When student feedback is given immediately after showing proof

of learning, the student responds and remembers the experience about what is being learned more
positively. If we wait too long to give feedback, the student might not connect the feedback with the
learning moment. It is vital that we take into consideration each individual when giving student
feedback. Our classrooms are full of diverse learners. Some students need to be nudged to achieve at a
higher level and other needs to be handled gently so as not to discourage learning and damage self-
esteem. Constructive, timely and meaningful feedback: encourages students to think critically about
their work and to reflect on what they need to do to improve it. helps them see their learning in new
ways and gain increased satisfaction from it. helps promote dialogue between staff and students.
Giving and receiving feedback in the workplace is important to change behaviors, improve
productivity and evaluate performance. Employees and their managers need to know what they are
doing well and areas in which they could do better so they know what to keep doing or what to
change.

OBSERVATION WEEK 6: COMMUNITY LINKAGES AND PROFESSIONAL

ENGAGEMENT

NAME: PAZ, CHRISTIAN JAMES P. Date: APRIL 27, 2022

Observation:

Interview the cooperating teacher. Ask the following questions.

1. Does the school have active school-community partnerships? Who are involved in the school-
community partnership?
 Yes, PTA, Parents, stockholders, benefactors

2. Does the school have community extension programs? What are the programs/projects
extended by the school to the community?
 Clean and green, Hidalgo Farming, Magbasa nang Mahasa

3. Does the school have an active PTA? How often does the PTA meeting? Do parents and
members of the community provide full support to school programs and activities? Describe
the relationship of teachers with parents and members of the community.
 Yes. Meetings depends most especially when a need arises. A school will never be
successful most especially in any extracurricular activities without supports coming
from our PTA. Sometimes a school will depend on PTA most especially on the
finances that cannot be shouldered by Deped

Processing:

Read carefully and answer the following questions.

1. How does community affect the learning environment?

 Several factors can affect learning ability, including seating, light, noise, and even
color. Students who study in a positive learning environment have been shown to be
more motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall learning ability.
2. What are the benefits of engaging parents and members of community in the implementation
of school programs?
 Family and community involvement may contribute to the quality of schools'
guidance programs and students' attitudes and behavior. School guidance and support
services are stronger and serve students better if educators, students, and families are
well connected.
3. What is the importance of the Code of Ethics to teachers?
 As role models for students, teachers must follow a professional Code of ethics. This
code ensures that students receive a fair, honest, and uncompromising education. A
professional code of ethics outlines teachers' primary responsibilities to their students
and defines their role in a student's life.
4. What is the importance of school policies and procedures to teachers and students?
 Policies are important because they help a school establish operating procedures and
create standards of quality for learning and teaching, as well as set out expectations
and accountability. Without these, schools would lack the structure and function
necessary to provide the educational needs of students.

Reflection:

Review the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers. Identify which of the ethical standards
promotes the enhancement of the teachers’ competency in terms of the following:

Knowledge As role models for students, teachers must follow a professional Code of ethics. This code
ensures that students receive a fair, honest, and uncompromising education. A professional
code of ethics outlines teachers' primary responsibilities to their students and defines their
role in a student's life.
Skills . All actions and responses are a function of a personal code of ethics, which is the
foundation for differences in teachers' styles of dealing with students and school-related
situations. A well-defined code of ethics will help you negotiate difficult times during the
life of your career.

OBSERVATION WEEK 7: PERSONAL GROWTH AND PROFESSIONAL

DEVELOPMENT

NAME: ___________________________________________ Date:

Observation:

List down the personal and professional qualities of the cooperating teacher, which, you
think, contribute to the development of the students.

1. Personal Qualities
 Confidence, Creativity, Enthusiasm, Flexibility, Honesty, Humility, Initiative,
Loyalty, Perseverance, Reliability
2. Professional Qualities
 Communication skills, listening skills, collaboration skills, adaptability, empathy and
patience.

Processing:

Read carefully and answer the following questions

1. How does the teacher’s philosophy of teaching impact the learners?

 philosophy of a teacher is important because it leads to, among other aspects, exactly
how you present yourself, your material and how you develop you students. Figuring
out what precisely your personal philosophy is helps you to understand what kind of
teacher you want to be.
2. How can the teacher continue to grow personally and professionally?
 To improve professional development for teachers, there must be clear focus on the
groups attending and what their needs are. Furthermore, there must be a platform for
feedback and reflection. In order to monitor and adjust teaching strategies and
delivery, educators often ask for feedback from their students.
3. Do you think that linking with colleagues is important in teaching? Why? Why not?

 Yes, because plan activities that give students the opportunity to work and collaborate
together to learn and grow from each other. Collaborative learning has been shown to
not only develop higher-level thinking skills in students, but boost their confidence
and self-esteem as well.

Reflection:

In 350-500 words. Based on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, what
particular domain or strand should the teacher address as her learning goals? Explain your answer.

My reflection about the discussion is that the relevance of professional standards in the continued
professional growth and improvement of teachers is recognized in the Philippine Professional
Standards for Teachers (PPST)lecture, which is founded on the notion of lifelong learning. It is
dedicated to assisting teachers and acknowledging the overwhelming evidence that effective
teachers are critical to improving student achievement. Quality teaching is a prerequisite for quality
learning. As a result, improving teacher quality becomes critical for long-term and sustainable
nation building. Furthermore, the PPST will serve as the foundation for all teacher learning and
development programs, ensuring that instructors are fully prepared to administer all curriculum
initiatives. It can also be utilized for teacher recruitment and advancement. This set of standards
must be used in all teacher performance evaluations. It also addressed the Seven Domains, which
are made up of 37 strands that refer to more particular aspects of teacher practices. Teachers in the
Philippines need these to be effective in the twenty-first century. The following qualities are
required of good instructors in the Philippines: acknowledge the value of mastery of topic
knowledge and its interconnection within and across curriculum areas, as well as a solid and critical
understanding of the application of teaching and learning theories and concepts. promote learner
responsibility and achievement, provide learning settings that are safe, secure, fair, and supportive.
create learning environments that are sensitive to the diversity of learners. They take into account
learners' various traits and experiences while planning and designing learning opportunities. Engage
with the requirements of the national and local curricula. They translate curricular knowledge into
learner-relevant learning activities that are based on effective teaching and learning methods.
monitor, evaluate, document, and report learners' needs, progress, and accomplishment using a
variety of assessment instruments and strategies. forming school-community connections with the
goal of enhancing the learning environment and including the community in the educational
process. maintain attributes that sustain the dignity of teaching, such as caring attitude, respect, and
honesty, through valuing personal growth and professional development and demonstrating a high
personal regard for the profession.
