 Viva has indeed come a very long way, catapulting itself into one of the most
awaited and prestigious inter school and junior college festivals pan India. It
creates ripples of enthusiasm and has entrenched itself in the psyche of students
from numerous schools across the nation. Viva encourages the youth to be
creative, confident and vibrant. It fosters a spirit of healthy competition.

Teamwork, individual achievement, respect for peers, parents, teachers,

organizers, awareness of the world, acquisition of knowledge, honing new
skills and finding out about one's strengths and areas of improvement are all
part of Viva. The learning is tremendous!

The Viva Workshops, Webinars and Competitions are always eagerly awaited,
and the Sports and Cultural Competitions attract the very best of talents from all
over the country.

Viva 14 is a comprehensive edutainment package which will leave an indelible

mark on everyone involved!
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Viva Webinars and Workshops will be conducted Online while the Competitions
will be Offline.

The participation fee for the Competitions is Rs 200/- per individual participant,
Rs 350 for each pair and Rs 600/- for each team. The fees for the Workshops
have been mentioned with the Workshops details and those for Viva Sports
have been given along with their rules.
The mode of payment for the registration fee for the Webinars, Workshop,
Competitions and Sports will be online and offline.
The Webinars, Workshops and Competitions are divided into the following groups:
PRE-PRIMARY
Playgroup / Nursery / Junior KG / Senior KG

PRIMARY
Grade 1 / Grade 2 / Grade 3 / Grade 4

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Grade 5 / Grade 6 / Grade 7

HIGH SCHOOL
Grade 8 / Grade 9 / Grade 10 / Grade 11 / Grade 12.
 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Viva COMPETITIONS:

• A student can participate in any number of events provided the event

schedules do not coincide.
• Each participant and accompanying non-participant/s should carry a
valid school identity card for inspection at the registration counter. You
will be expected to produce your school/college identity card for
inspection whenever asked to do so.
• The individual/team should report to the event Coordinator at least 30
minutes before the scheduled time of the event.
• Any kind of weapon/s, sharp and objectionable objects and paraphernalia
will be confiscated on the spot.
• The organizers of Viva reserve the right to admission, which may be
revoked at any point of time without prior notice.
• Unruly behavior, violence, offensive language, smoking on the premises
and possession and use of abusive substances will lead to immediate
disqualification of the entire contingent of the particular school the
offending students are from.
• The time limit for each competition must be adhered to. In case of non-
compliance with the rules, points will be deducted for exceeding the time
limit.
• The organizers reserve the right to alter the rules of any event.
• Please refer to the details given regarding grades, date, time and venue of
the events.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all.
• The points will be awarded as follows:

Individual Event:
1st Place = 5
2nd Place = 3
3rd Place = 1

Team/Pair Event:
1st Place = 10
2nd Place = 7
• The Overall Winners and Runners Up will be declared on the day of Viva
Grand Finale.
• Separate forms should be sent for each Competition, Workshop and Sports
Event. Please refer to the forms given.
• No 'on the spot' entries will be accepted.
• Entries to Competitions will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

• Students should bring the required material (butter, cheese, sliced fruits, 4 Pieces
of Marie biscuit, jam, etc)
• Each participant needs to present only one composition on every piece of biscuits.
• Participants need to explain the process of making and the nutritional value of
their mouth savoring dish.

This dance competition mesmerizes the audience with its creative choreography
and the use of interesting unique props in any music piece/song/rhythm loop.

Number of participants: 1 Duration: 1.5 – 2 minutes

Grade eligibility: Pre-Primary Fees: 200 INR

Rules:
• Participants will be reporting to the school in proper costume and will be ready
for the competition along with their props.
• Participants should dress appropriately for the performance.
• Participants' music/soundtrack should be submitted a week before the
competition date.
• If there is any malfunctioning of the track or equipment due to a technical issue
the participant might get a chance to perform again after a consultation
between the judges and the organizing team.
• Kindly select a song that is child friendly and has appropriate lyrics. If there is
failure to adhere to the mentioned criteria, the performance will be disqualified.
• Only one song will be allowed per participant.
• It is mandatory for the participants to use the prop in at least 70% of the dance
choreography.
• The judges' decision will be final and binding.

Judgment criteria:
• Choreography - 10
• Use of Prop - 10
• Expressions - 10
• Stage use - 10
• Overall Presentation - 10

Number of participants: 1 Duration: 30 seconds for each word

Grade eligibility: Pre-Primary Fees: 200 INR

Rules:
• Participants will be asked to spell aloud.
• All words will be based on their previous/present curriculum.
• Participants need to say the spelling of the word in the stipulated time.
• Each student will need to say at least 2 correct spellings to qualify for the next
round.
• The judges' decision will be final and binding.

Judgment criteria:
• Clarity - 10
• Correct spelling - 10

 PUPPETEER
Do you love storytelling using puppets? Great news for you. Create your favourite
character using recycled materials like beads, bright threads, googly eyes, glue,
popsicle sticks, old socks, googly eyes, threads, beads, gum, color paper, ice
cream sticks, gloves, velvet cloth, etc., and bring your character to life.

Number of participants: 1 Duration: 60 minutes

Grade eligibility: Pre-Primary Fees: 200 INR

Rules:
• Participants are required to bring all the materials from home.
• Participants are required to create their socks puppet in the school itself without
any pre-preparation done at home.
• One participant will be creating only one puppet.
• The judges' decision will be final and binding.

Judgment criteria:
• Creativity – 10
• Neatness - 10

 BOOKWORM
Are you a Potterhead or a fan of Wimpy kid? Do you love Narnia or love to imagine
going deep down a rabbit hole like Alice? Pick your favorite storybook or
literature, grab a microphone, and share with us, why you like that book and
which is your favorite character, and why?

Number of participants: 1 Duration: 2 – 3 minutes

Grade eligibility: Primary Fees: 200 INR

Rules:
• Participants will be bringing their favorite book from home.
• Participants are required to share the essence of the book and must pick one
favorite character and describe it.
• The judges' decision will be final and binding.

This dance competition mesmerizes the audience with creative choreography using

If a limitless imagination, palette full of vibrant colors, an artistic approach towards
daily life and things around you, and a passion to portray vivid emotions in a
picturesque mode of expression interests you then this competition is your cup of
tea. You are welcome to participate in a drawing competition using mediums like
regular, colored, and graphite pencils, charcoal, crayons, sketch pens, and oil
pastels on A4 Page size.

Number of participants: 1 Duration: 60 minutes

Grade eligibility: Primary Fees: 200 INR

Composition: Unity in Diversity

Rules:
• Participants are required to bring all the materials (required for the drawing
competition) from home.
• Participants can use regular pencils, A4 Sheet, colored pencils, graphite pencils,
charcoal, crayons, sketch pens, and oil pastels.
• Composition Theme: Unity in Diversity
• Participants will be presenting only one composition.
• The judges' decision will be final and binding.

Judgment criteria:
• Creativity – 10
• Interpretation of the topic – 10
• Use of elements – 10
• Overall presentation – 10

 FACE WIZARD
Showcase your talent and creativity beyond the world of traditional drawing and
painting on a unique canvas, the face. Based on the theme
“ Marvel Superheroes or Animals”

Number of participants: 2 (one Duration: 60 minutes

artist and one model)
Fees: 350 INR
Grade Eligibility: Middle School

Composition:
Marvel Superheroes or Animals

Rules:
• Participants will be bringing all the materials required for the face painting
competition from home.
• Participants have to use water-based, professional paints which are non-toxic
on the skin.
• Participants can use paintbrushes, makeup brushes, sponges, sponge-tipped
applicators, and a stylus (a tool that makes “dots”). The end of a paintbrush may
also be used to make dots. It is necessary to use only skin-safe adhesives &
adhesive removers.
• Skin-safe glitter can be used only in loose powder, or liquid form.
• Make sure you test the materials once on the model, so you may know if it's
suitable for the skin.
• Organisers will not be held liable under any circumstances if allergies or
reactions happen before, during, or after the event.
• Composition theme: Marvel Superheroes or Animals
