REFRIGERATED TYPE DEHUMIDIFIER
It is a combination of 2 Units i.e. Heat Exchanger Unit and Water
Chilling Unit. In heat exchanger unit wet bio gas enters from top and
exchanges heat with outgoing dry & cooled gas thus precooling the
incoming gas. This precooled gas now goes into evaporator/chiller
where chilled water is passing in tubes. This reduces the temperature
of gas and condensation takes place. Now this gas passes through a
centrifugal moisture separator where condensed moisture is collected
and drained out by auto drain. This auto drain works on zero gas
discharge principle. Once the water level is more than a pre-set level
the extra water is discharged. Now this dry gas is passed through a pre-
cooler /post heater where cold gas exchanges heat with incoming gas
and the temperature of dry gas is increased.

Dessicant Type Dehumidifier:

The compressed bio gas which is at elevated pressure is


passed through pre filter where dust particles is trapped upto
5 micron. Now clean bio gas is sent to twin tower Dessicant
(molecular sieves) based system where moisture is removed.
Where one tower is in process second tower goes into
regeneration by depressurising and a small purge from Dry
Gas. After a pre-set timing the changeover takes place and
second tower goes in process and first in regeneration. This
cycle is repeated automatically. Now the dry bio gas is now
passed through an after filter if some dust particles is still
present in bio gas can be removed through this filter which is
of 01 micron. Dew point of bio gas will be (-) 40 deg c.
