Questions 1 and 2 on this Question Paper.

Question 1

You are Willie, the trainee Inuit guide. After the Arctic cruise is over, you write a letter to your
girlfriend, Eska.

Write the letter.

In your letter, you should explain:

• where you took the tourists and what activities were organised for them
• what you think the tourists expected and how far you think they were satisfied
• your thoughts and feelings about Adam as a tour guide.

Base your letter on what you have read in Passage A, but be careful to use your own words.
Address each of the three bullet points.

Begin your letter: ‘Dear Eska, We have just come back from another tourist cruise around the
Arctic …’

Write about 250 to 350 words.
