MY DREAM JOB
When I was a teenager, I remember longing to be an ambassador for Nicaragua. You
may wonder how a twelve-year-old boy envisioned himself holding such an important
job?
Actually, I was always inspired by the news I watched on TV every afternoon with my
grandfather. It was honestly great to see those people traveling out of the country to
represent Nicaragua in international organizations such as the United Nations.
However, as the years went by my tastes simply changed, and I think I still needed to
know myself, I mean, who was I, and what did I want to do
Nowadays, my dream job is to become a Certified Public Accountant. I must admit it is
not easy to achieve because the professional profile demands a lot of time.
However, I am striving hard to achieve that goal, and I am currently studying three
university degrees at the same time, and they are Bachelor in Public Accounting and
Finance, Bachelor in International Business and Bachelor in International Relations. Each
of them allows me to expand my knowledge and fulfill many requirements that my
dream job demands.
To be a public accountant you need three basic things; Number one is to be born with
the talent to make numbers not only to be on a sheet of paper but also to interpret
them because in the life of an accountant numbers will be your best friend.
Number two, you must have common sense and leadership skills to deal with the
economic problems that occur within companies and be able to provide solutions to
improve financial health.
The accountant must be self-taught and be aware of fiscal information, market
movements and tax laws of the country where he/she works.
Finally, experience is gained as one is performing in their professional work, as far as I
am concerned I have been preparing myself for four years and I still have two more
years to complete my higher education studies.
I faithfully believe that whatever your dream job is, the secret formula for success is to
believe in yourself, be perseverant, disciplined and never give up no matter how many
times you try you should never stop fighting for your dreams until you reach the goal.
