ALBERTSON Temporary Plates

The Nevada DMV implemented a secure temporary dealer placard system to address fraud concerns with their previous handwritten placard system. The new system uses a vendor-managed application and secure placards with unique identification numbers to allow real-time tracking of placard data by DMV and law enforcement. A pilot program tested the new system and industry was trained on the changes before full implementation.
