My name is _______. I’m _____ years old. I’m in grade 8 of Trảng Dài Secondary School. I
like music and sport. My favorite game is soccer.
Part 2:
1. Talk about your free time/ leisure time
- In my free time, I like to listen to music. I’m really interested in pop ballad. My
favorite singer is ________. I like him/ her because his/ her voice is so sweet/ nice.
The song I like best is _______. I want to be a singer in the future
- In my free time, I like to go out with my friends. We often go to the park near our
school and have a picnic. We sometimes have some drinks in the café. We never
play games because it’s a waste of time and money.
- In my free time, I often invite my close friends to my house and watch videos/ play
video games. We usually sit on the sofa, have some soda and popcorn while we
watch/ play our favorite movies/ games. I really “The Matrix”/ “Liên Quân”. It’s a
good movie/ game.
2. Talk about the life in the countryside/ city
a. Life in the countryside is quite different from life in the city. People think it’s
boring but I really like it here. The people in the countryside are really friendly and
helpful. The air is fresh and children are safe when they play around.
b. Life in the city is fast and exciting. People are always in a hurry. The streets are
crowded especially during rush hours. The air is polluted. However, the city offers
more jobs and opportunities to people. They can earn a lot of money there.
3. Talk about an ethnic group in Việt Nam.
a. I’ll tell you something about an ethnic group in Việt Nam. I belong to the Việt or
Kinh, the group with the largest number of people accounting for about 86% of the
population. We mostly live in cities and the surrounding areas.
b. The Tầy people live in the North of Việt Nam. They live in stilt houses. They live
on hunting and farming. Life is a little difficult but they are always happy.
c. The Thái have a population of about one and a half million people living in the
provinces of Lai Châu, Sơn La, Yên Bái, Hòa Bình, Thanh Hóa and Nghệ An. The
Thái language belongs to the Tầy-Thái group. They like sticky rice. They also
make bamboo items and weave cloth. Thái cloth is well-known for being unique,
colorful and strong
