Seasons Connect Four
This activity was devised for Class 3H at Brocklewood Junior School in
Nottingham. They were looking at the difference between weather and climate/
seasons and at the time appreciating that we were getting our spring showers
rather late into May which is a month that can’t decide which season it belongs
to. The activity was designed to consolidate appropriate vocabulary and stimulate
discussion around how weather affected their own lives.
Our activities travel around the world so you will of course need to adapt this
activity to your own climate, where you may have only two or more than six
seasons. We would like to develop some comparative work through our work in
progress network, so please send any adaptions on other climates to the project.

coloured seasons cards which they shuffle and place face down.
