BETTING ODDS FORMAT

AMERICAN ODDS
American odds can be either positive or negative.

Positive American odds are used when the potential profit on a bet is larger or equal to the stake.
The odds value shows how big your winnings are if you bet 100 units.

Negative American odds are used when the potential profit on a bet is smaller than the stake. The
odds value shows how big a stake is needed to win 100 units.

Example: England to beat Spain at American odds of +400

Return: Stake x (1 + American odds/100) £200 x (1 + 400/100) = £1,000

Winnings: Stake x American odds/100 £200 x 400/100 = £800

Example: Spain to beat England at American odds of -200

Return: Stake x (1 + 100/American odds) £200 x (1 + 100/200) = £300

Winnings: Stake x 100/American odds £200 x 100/200 = £100

DECIMAL ODDS
Decimal odds are sometimes referred to as Continental odds, Digital odds or European odds.
Decimal odds multiplied by your stake equals the total return.

Example: Spain to beat England at decimal odds of 1.5

Return: Stake x decimal odds £200 x 1.5 = £300

Winnings: Stake x (decimal odds - 1) £200 x (1.5 - 1) = £100

FRACTIONAL ODDS
Fractional odds are sometimes referred to as UK odds. Fractional odds multiplied by your stake
equals the profit.

Winnings: Stake x fractional odds £200 x 1/2 = £100

Hong Kong Odds

Hong Kong odds multiplied by your stake equals the profit.

Example: Spain to beat England at Hong Kong odds of 0.5 Return:

Stake x (1 + Hong Kong odds) £200 x (1 + 0.5) =£300

Winnings: Stake x Hong Kong odds £200 x 0.5 = £100
