EXPLANATION

NO.5 Discuss the importance of electric motors in the field of agricultural engineering.

The purpose of an electric motor is to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. This
mechanical energy can then be used to power different machineries, everyday tools and appliances.

So in the near future as an agricultural engineer whose main role is to solve problems found in
agricultural production, it is very important na we are knowledgeable enough to understand how
electric motor works. Since nowadays, kung napapansin natin mostly electricity-powered machineries
ang ginagamit sa farm like tractors, cultivators and many more. Mahalaga rin na alam natin ang
differences ng mga electric motors like we have AC, DC, and special purpose motors. Since it has to be
incorporated sa design and fabrication of agricultural processing equipment or machines, para
maiwasan ang damage sa product, and the equipment mismatch.
