METHOD STATEMENT OF TARPAULIN INSTALLATION.
1. INTRODUCTION
This method statement describes the methodology to be employed in the safe execution of the tarpaulin installation at
RGB line area.
Personnel and Responsibilities:
■ Site Engineer:
The Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the workers involved in the work are familiar with the
requirements of this method statement and related specifications, standards.
■ Supervisor:
Supervisor is responsible to check the elevation and coordinates of the each part of activity to be done.
■ Health and Safety Officer.
Health & Safety officer shall be assigned to check on the work in order that the correct safe working practices are
being followed and that any necessary precautions have been fully implemented.
■ Competent worker.
They are responsible for the execution of the job as described in this method statement and in a safe
manner.
2. EQUIPMENT LIST
▪ Scissor lift.
▪ Hand tools.
▪ Power tools.
3. MATERIAL LIST
▪ Tarpaulin sheets.
▪ Banding wires.
▪ Rope.

4. EXECUTION METHODOLOGY
● Barrication and restrict entry in this area.Wear proper PPEs( gloves & safety Shoes Helmet
etc)before the start of activity.
▪ All equipment and tools required to perform the work shall comply with the standards specified in
specifications, and shall been site before the works commence and shall be inspected by Health &
Safety Officer.
▪ Person’s part of this job to carry out work should be fully informed and have a complete understanding
of the potential hazards that the work entails.
▪ Supervisor or leadership is essential to ensure that the devised safe system of work is implemented
correctly. Regular and thorough monitoring are necessary to ensure that specific procedures are being
followed.
▪ First of all,the trained worker climb upto the scissor lift and load tarpaulin sheet and rope into the scissor
lift.Then scissor lift will be expand and rope will pass through the hole of tarpaulin,rope will tied with
beam gadder same process is repaeted With 7 coloum one side & 7 coloum other side.
5. HEALTH & SAFETY
▪ Training will be conducted prior to job start.
▪ All workers shall wear the appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment.
▪ Inspection scissor lift before activity start.
▪ The health & safety officer shall ensure that there is safe access to the working area. Housekeeping
permanently shall be ongoing.
