CHAPTER THREE
INTENRSHIP EXPERINCE
REASON WHY WE SELECT
THE COMPANY
We have chosen the organization
because it is one of the leading ICT
and information technology
companies in the region and in the
country, as well as a leading
institution that provides practical
training to students from various
universities in the country by
providing necessary equipment
And because the institution has
rooms that are directly related to the
subject we are taking and
also it is located a short distance
from our home city.
2.1 OUR INTERNSHIP
WORKING SECTION
During our stay in the organization,
we have chosen networking from the
various sectors offered
to us as an alternative, and the
reason is Because of our eagerness
to put into practice the
network technology we have seen at
the theory level because it is one of
the sections of the
organization that provides adequate
functional training in the
organization

maintain technology we have seen at the theory level because it is one of the sections of the organization that
provides adequate functional training in the organization.
3.2 OUR TASK DURING THE INTERNSHIP
Once we were in the company and selected the networking and computer maintenance unit, the task we were
given was to take the floor plan of one of the buildings of the company and set up an internet connection for
each office and create local area network with different VLANs
2.4.2 MATERIALS USED ON NETWORKING
We used different materials in order to finish our installation During the installation the necessary
materials used are:
Cable Tester
RJ 45
Crimper
SOFTWARE APPLICATION TOOLS
We used some software during our internship period
Windows server 2008 R2 one client side and
Windows 7,8,10,11 as another client side
2.5 DESCRIPTION OF DEVICES WE HAVE USED
2.5.1 switch:
As we described a network switch is a small hardware device that joins multiple computers together within one
local area network. Ethernet switch devices were commonly used on home networks before home routers
became popular. High-performance network switches are still widely used in corporate networks and data
centers.
Types of Switch
Unmanaged Switches
An unmanaged network switch works right out of the box. But it's not designed to be configured. Usually,
you'll find unmanaged switches in home networking equipment. It used for distribution.
Managed Switches
A managed switch gives you greater flexibility because it can be configured. For example, you can
monitor a managed network switch and adjust it locally or remotely. This gives you control over
network traffic and who has access to the network
Cable taster
A network cable tester can identify if the wires are paired correctly or not. It can also show if there is a break in
the insulation, a situation which allows crosstalk between two wires that should not be connected. If a
connection "goes to the wrong place" it is said to be "mis wired" (the connection has two faults: it is open to the
correct contact and shorted to an incorrect contact. The tester can also tell whether the cable has the proper level
of resistance. Generally a cable tester consists of:
A source of electric current,
A volt meter,
A switching matrix used to connect the current source and the volt meter to all of the contact points in a cable.
2.5.2 Router: -
Is a networking device, commonly specialized hardware that forwards data packets between computer
networks .This creates an overlay internetwork, as a router is connected to two or more data lines from different
networks. When a data packet comes in one of the lines, the router reads
2.7 CHALLENGE WE HAVE FACED
Some of the challenges we have faced while performing our work tasks are:-
lack of transportation system in the morning,
Weak responsibility of the employees to the internship student,
Lack of getting money on time
MEASURE WE HAVE TAKEN TO OVERCOME THE CHALLENGES
Getting ready early to get transport
WHAT WE HAVE GAINED FROM INTERNSHIP
One of the most valuable skills we have gained from an internship is the ability to speak with people in a
professional setting. Discussions with bosses or coworkers are more different from discussion with fellow
students. Strong interpersonal communication skill helped us get more out of our educational experience while
also potentially creating better opportunities for success as you embark upon your career. Unlike more role-
specific skills such as cooking or creating spreadsheets, interpersonal communication is part of most every
aspect of your life To make our internship time suitable and smart we have tried to find a solution for the above
mentioned challenges. As one of the goals of internship program is to make students solution maker about
problems that exist around different company we have taken the following measures
Make us a good listener: When we think about communicating, our focus often goes to speaking and writing.
But being a capable listener is a vital element.
choose our words thoughtfully: Focusing on listening helps create a strong foundation for a fruitful
conversation, regardless of topic. When it’s time to respond, choose your words carefully, making sure your
tone is appropriate for the situation. An effective communicator uses words to complete tasks and successfully
meet goals, and is assertive without being aggressive
Whether you’re in class, at work, or in a social situation, you want to use your communication skills to help
further a goal.in term of entrepreneurship we also got so many things. That is one which make us to be find our
dream for future as an entrepreneur, we will have the opportunity to take control over detail of our working life
such as concept to job creation and make people relationship
