to present this homework during week 5.

1. Activity Learning Outcome

Through this activity students, in pairs or groups of three, create a dialogue about an interview between a foreigner
and a local person from a city talking about “Where can he/she find some products and stores?” and record it in a
short video.

2. Description

Step 1: In groups choose the role of a foreigner or local citizen; then, choose the places that they are looking for.
Make a list of the public places around the city you have chosen.
Choose the products the foreigner needs.
Make a list with the possible questions and answers to use in the dialogue to talk about places and products.
Example:

Is there a (drugstore) in your city/town?

Yes, there is.
Where do you buy your (food)?
I buy food at the (grocery store).
Excuse me, I’m looking for a shirt.
There are shirts at the (clothes store).
Step 2: Choose the grammar tense to use in your dialogue.
Use the grammar of There is/are (affirmative, negative, questions -Wh questions & Yes/No questions), Present
simple (affirmative, negative, questions – Wh-questions & Yes/No questions)
Use expressions like some / any / a / an / a pair of
Step 3: Write your dialogue.
Practice the pronunciation and intonation of sentences and questions.
Remember to use the correct spelling of the words and punctuation.
Choose a video program to record the video.
Remember to speak naturally, don’t read the dialogue.
Step 4: It’s time to record your video dialogue, remember it is a dialogue with interaction. Avoid Yes/No answers.
Say complete sentences (Subject + verb + complement).

¡Hola! Ahora es el momento de hacer la Tarea de esta semana. Te invito a que revises las instrucciones que
aparecen a continuación. Recuerda que si necesitas repasar un tema, siempre puedes volver atrás las veces que
necesites. Ten en cuenta que tienes que presentar esta tarea durante la semana 5.

1. Actividad Resultado de aprendizaje

A través de esta actividad los alumnos, en parejas o grupos de tres, crean un diálogo sobre una entrevista entre un
extranjero y una persona local de una ciudad hablando sobre "¿Dónde puede encontrar algunos productos y
tiendas?" y lo graban en un vídeo corto.

2. Descripción

Paso 1: En grupos, elijan el papel de un extranjero o de un ciudadano local; luego, elijan los lugares que están
buscando.
Haz una lista de los lugares públicos de la ciudad que has elegido.
Elige los productos que necesita el extranjero.
Haz una lista con las posibles preguntas y respuestas para utilizar en el diálogo para hablar de los lugares y los
productos.
Ejemplo:

¿Hay una (farmacia) en tu ciudad/pueblo?

Sí, la hay.
¿Dónde compras tus (alimentos)?
Compro los alimentos en la (tienda de comestibles).
Disculpe, estoy buscando una camisa.
Hay camisas en la (tienda de ropa).
Paso 2: Elige el tiempo gramatical que vas a utilizar en tu diálogo.
Utilice la gramática de There is/are (afirmativo, negativo, preguntas -Wh questions & Yes/No questions), Presente

Paso 3: Escribir el diálogo.

Through this activity students, in pairs or groups of three, record a short video dialogue about two friends from
different cities who describe the tourist places in their cities.

2. Description

Step 1: Get into pairs or groups of three.

Step 2: Choose two or three cities to describe. Each student will describe one city.
Make a list of the public places around the cities you have chosen.
Choose the public places that you are going to mention in the dialogue. Classify them into singular or plural, to use
the correct grammar. E.g: "There is an old church near my home." / "There are modern museums in my town".
Make a list with the possible questions to use in the dialogue to ask about locations. E.g: "What is there in your
town?" / "Is there a gas station in your city? In my city, there is a/an..."
Step 3: Look at the grammar tenses from Weeks 6-9 to describe your cities.

A través de esta actividad los alumnos, en parejas o grupos de tres, graban un breve diálogo en vídeo sobre dos
amigos de diferentes ciudades que describen los lugares turísticos de sus ciudades.

2. Descripción

Paso 1: Formar parejas o grupos de tres.

Paso 2: Elegir dos o tres ciudades para describirlas. Cada alumno describirá una ciudad.
Haz una lista de los lugares públicos de las ciudades que has elegido.
Elige los lugares públicos que vas a mencionar en el diálogo. Clasifícalos en singular o plural, para utilizar la
gramática correcta. Por ejemplo: "Hay una iglesia antigua cerca de mi casa". / "En mi ciudad hay museos
modernos".
Haz una lista con las posibles preguntas a utilizar en el diálogo para preguntar por los lugares. Por ejemplo: "¿Qué
