MINUTES OF THE BARANGAY ASSEMBLY OF BARANGAY POBLACION, LEGANES,
ILOILO HELD AT POBLACION BARANGAY HALL LAST OCTOBER 22, 2022 AT 9 O’
CLOCK IN THE MORNING

The assembly started at exactly 9 o’clock in the morning. The opening prayer was led by Eddy P.
Herradura followed by the National Anthem conducted by Melodia P. Panase. The Punong Barangay welcomed all
the participants and presented the new barangay officials. Hon. Antonio J. Junio is the new Barangay Kagawad,
Edgar G. Parreño, the new Barangay Treasurer and Jonah T. Barnuevo, as the new Barangay Secretary. This is due
to the vacancy in the Sanggunian because of the death of Raquel J. Herrera.
The Punong Barangay then presented the State of the Barangay Address (SOBA). The SOBA included
the projects and activities implemented in the last six months. Regravelling of roads at Jardeleza Subdivision and
San Vicente Village, installation of new streetlight posts, continuous clean-up drive, improvement/ renovation of
barangay hall, dengue mitigation thru spraying, financial assistance delivered to different sectors, compliance to
Executive Order no. 3 and practice minimum health standards, efficient collection of garbage and solid waste
management, compliance to clearing of public roads and strengthening the Barangay Anti- Drug Abuse Council
were the highlights of the Punong barangay’s address. The Punong Barangay also acknowledged the Barangay
Nutrition Council for being the Most functional BNC in the municipality.
Upcoming projects from outside sources were also presented. The regravelling of roads at San Vicente
Village and Jardeleza Subdivision funded by the Iloilo Provincial Government is in the works. The installation of
solar streetlights at Jardeleza Subdivision and acquisition of mini garbage truck, both funded also by the Provincial
Government is about to be realized. The Municipal Government also included in its next year’s budget the
rehabilitation of Poblacion Day Care Centers which is worth Php 900,000.00. The Punong Barangay also cited the
Sangguniang Barangay’s proposed plan for the completion of the two storey Barangay Multipurpose Hall.
The Punong Barangay also credited all those who had contributed for the betterment of the barangay
and urged the participants to be more active in their involvement for upcoming activities. And she later presented the
problems and obstacles faced presently.
This was followed by the Committee reports by every Kagawad in charge. The outgoing Barangay
Treasurer Antonio J. Junio then presented the financial status and expenditures of the barangay for the last six

After the presentation, an open forum followed. Residents were given the chance to air out their
problems and concerns in their respective puroks. Eddy Herradura and Melodia Panase, residents from San Vicente
Village and Jardeleza Subdivision complained about flooding and dilapidated roads. The Barangay Council assured
them that rehabilitation of these roads is on the way as the Provincial Government of Iloilo provided funds for this
project, Completion of needed documents as part of the procurement process is underway and the said project is near
realization, In the issue of flood, the Barangay Council had issued a resolution to our Municipal Mayor for
assistance in the assessment of drainage system and to allocate funds as the Barangay is not financially able to
proceed with this project.
Another problem presented is the collection of garbage. Participants were reminded that solid waste
must be segregated so that the barangay garbage collector would collect it. And they were instructed to follow
garbage schedule.
The assembly ended at 11:40 AM.
